would you rather go to work

I have been working on a huge project the last month that is requiring massive OT. I have been getting there early and working till around 7pm. I MUCH prefer early. My brain gets mushy after a certain time each day.

Go in early. Evenings are time I spend with my family. If I leave the house at 5:00 a.m., I'm not missing anything at home, but if I stay at work until 7:00 p.m. I am. My normal hours are 8-5. When things pick up, I start cutting into my lunch, then coming in at 7 or 6 or 5:30 (about my limit) and won't start pushing my hours beyond 5 p.m. (or working weekends) until I've exhausted all other options.

I am a preschool teacher, so my hours are what they are. But during the summer, I work once in a while during our summer camp. The shifts are 7-12 or 12-6ish (sometimes the last kid gets picked up earlier than 6, sometimes not).

As much as I hate getting up in the morning, I'd rather work the early shift. The afternoon shift just seems to drag on and on....the mornings go pretty fast!

Definitely early. When it is time to go home, I want out.

In my office, we can start between 7:00 and 9:00, although one person got an exception for 6:00. I'm usually in between 8:30 and 9:00 and stay until between 5:30 and 6:00. For me to get there by 7:00, I would be going to bed around 10:00, which is too early for me. I'd rather stay up late. I'm single so I don't have to worry about being home early for dinner with family. Traffic is better too around those times. I also work with people across the country, so later works better.

I would have good intentions of going in very early, but most likely I'd just stay late. I am not a good morning person. I can go well into the night easier with a good cup of coffee.

I;m a night owl. I actually managed to set my schedule so I start a half hour later than everyone else - and stay half an hour (more normally 1 hr) later than everyone else. works better for me - I don't do mornings.

Early! Less traffic for commute, fewer users around, its quiet, and I can get out of the office while the sun is still out. I work in an office where we don't have a single window to the outside world, so you kinda start to miss knowing what the wx is...

I would rather go early. I am an "early" person for everything, I do NOT like staying late.

On my own time, I am totally a night owl :)

Early. Much more productive before the phone starts ringing, meetings get underway, etc.

Of course, I'm a SAHM now, but I still get up about 90 mins before the kid so I can have some quiet time or work on projects.

I would prefer to stay late. Like others, I am not a morning person. I would rather sleep in and go in late. The problem with going in early is you need to go to bed earlier and I'm not very good at that.

I'd prefer to go in early. But at my former job, it didn't matter what time I got there - early or even a few minutes late - I always ended having to stay late to accommodate the last minute requests from my boss that absolutely had to be done before I left for the evening. Of course, my boss left on time!
