UPDATED INFO - in respose to some of the posts:
1)The sole is not actually white. The trim around the edge is not actually used anymore as they found it didn't hold up well. The sole itself is actually clear... "Visu Fit, a clear bottom on our shoes which allows you to see your child’s toes so you know how the shoe fits" The shoe does have a white insole in it, but that is not visible from the sides or top.
2)Sole IS for walkers not prewalkers. It is a thin rubber sole that is very flexible.
(see additional picture below to see the sole and how the shoe is actually attached - without the white trim)
3)They are for church/dress up - he will not be getting them dirty (much anyway) and if he does - THEY ARE MACHINE WASHABLE!!! PRESCHOOLIANS rock!
4)I don't want a dark color - it won't look right with his light colored summer church clothes. For play, yes I'll get him dark brown shoes, but not church.
5)I have a credit with Preschoolians. (FREE) No way I'm spending $40 at StrideRite when their shoe is not as flexible as Preschoolians. They don't have a bad shoe, mind you - I just prefer Preschoolians in general.

I love Preschoolians shoes but they don't really have a good boys sandal. They have this style called peek a boo that had pink thread and a pink flower on it. They are really good a customizing the shoes (free!!) how you want them. I think it still looks girly without the pink thread/flower - but maybe it's because I've been looking at it too long - (If I get it I would get it in the tan nubuck pictured)

Would you put it on your toddler boy (18mos old)?
FYI - Intended for church/dressy wear.

(I edited out the pink thread and flower)

This is how the shoe looks without the white trim - (just a different color etc):

Personally, I wouldn't. Not only does it sort of look girly, but I just don't like it. I think the white sole bugs me. Sorry!

Looks pretty close to what I wear so no I wouldn't either.

Me neither...I think it is the sole that does it for me too. If the sole were tan/brown and more rugged looking (like a hiking boot or something)...I would like it more.

All I see is a brown sandle, no pink or flowers. The way it is, sure I would put them on a little boy.

Okay, I'm probably in the minority here, but I don't see a problem with it. :confused3 But then I'm in a place where guys were flowers on their shirts all the time. :rotfl:

Nah, I would like a thicker sole and a dark colored one too. Actually I would want the leather to be a thicker, less soft looking type too.

Personally I wouldn´t. Too girly for me, and the white soles certainly don´t help. Sorry!

I don't think it looks too girly. :confused3

Another vote for No :sad2: - sorry!!!

I think those would be fine for babies not walking. They do not appear to have much of a sole.

When my boys were your DS age, I bought Stride Rite sandles in navy. They wore these sandals until they reached about 4 maybe 5'ish. As they outgrew them I would buy more.

I don't have a problem with that shoe on a toddler boy except I don't think suede is the best material for summer, but I would recommend checking Stride Rite. My boys also wore a shoe similar to the one Southern4Sure showed. Among my kids, we had a version of that one in brown and in navy.

Those are the sandals I bought my sons every summer until they were too old for them! They are so cute! I will continue the tradition their baby brother!

And they go with everything!

Well, I guess I don't see anything wrong with those sandals for a boy either. I'm fine with it.

I'm with those who don't care for the white sole, but I don't think they're girly.

I also give a thumbs up for Stride Rite! I honestly can't remember which style I used to buy for my DS, but I always bought him Stride Rite or some other brand that the name escapes me.
