Would you pick Sci-Fi or 50's PT with 3 small children?

I have 3 kids, ages 8, 6, and 2. I'm trying to decide between Sci-Fi and 50's PT for our HS day. I think the kids would enjoy the movies at Sci-FI, and the menu there appeals more to DH, but I've always wanted to try 50's PT and the menu there appeals more to me! :headache: I think 50's PT could be a lot of fun, but I'm not sure if my kids are old enough to "get" the teasing going on. Would I be better off just sticking with Sci-Fi for them? Thanks for any help!

We just went to both restaurants about a week and half ago and we love them both dont get me wrong but we were very dissapointed in 50's this time the food was very eh..

The Sci-Fi will keep the mostly entertained, but they are monster movies so keep that in mind! I personally would vote for SCI-FI as the prime time as gone down hill imho. I also read somewhere that during a meal, the server scolded the mom for not eating everything on her plate and told her no dessert. This made the kids cry, they just didn't get the concept that it was all in fun...

They are both great, but I did take a 1 year old to Sci Fi in May and he didn't do very well. He was cranky from a nap and he cried during the whole meal. Sci fi is a pretty quiet restaurant and unfortunately, I could not get my son to be quiet no matter what I did so I was stuck with some people giving me rude looks from the other cars. 50's PTC is not as quiet so if your kids are loud, you may want to consider PTC.

Sci Fi hands down!

50's can be hit or miss, its been more miss for us. The movies and cars are always at Sci-fi. The movies are silly monster clips, Dd loves to laugh at them and has since she was 5. I wouldn't call them scary, but it is darkish in there.

We have two boys ages 5 and 6 and they decided that they would much rather go back to Sci-Fi than to 50's Prime Time. They loved sitting in the cars watching the movie clips while they ate.

I think the food is better at 50's but the atmosphere is so fun at Sci Fi that we still go there often.

Don't forget that sitting in the cars can be tricky with 3 kids. how will you split up... if you and DH want to sit together in one row.. the kids are in front of you. It was a little difficult with us last year in the car. I had to keep getting out of my row, to go up two rows to help child with something or other. It was fun, and they enjoyed it.. but just remembered it was difficult trying to talk to the kids, and see what they were doing, eatin etc. That being said, we would do it again, but maybe not until the little ones are older.
