Would you pick O'hanas or San Angel Inn?

A little background: Its DH, myself, DS (9) and DD (5). We've been many times to WDW and always eat at the same places and wanted to try something new this trip.

We are staying at the BCV and going during the F&WF. We'll be there for 7 nights and need 1 more TS. We already have the usual favorites, Chef Mickeys, CRT, 50's Primetime and LeCellier. Plus 1 more I can't think of right now. Only problem we are taking 1 day off, probably to visit Sea World and another night we're putting the kids in the Sandcastle Club so DH and I can do the F&WF alone. So I'm limited on the days we can do TS.

On Sunday , the day after we arrive, I was thinking we have a 1:30pm ADR at CRT. Would you then after the MK closes take the monorail to O'Hanas and eat there? (how's the food?) or take the monorail to Epcot, eat at San Angel (again how's the food?) then we could walk back to the villas.

Food Quality is important, plus atmosphere. Any advice appreciated.

We loved Ohana's ::yes::. My DH told me to make sure we go back there in December....we thought the food was very good ;). We ate at San Angel once and haven't been back :sad2:. We thought the atmosphere at San Angel was neat, but we didn't think the food was very good. I would suggest going to Ohana's :goodvibes.

Well, for our family it would have to be O'Hanas! San Angel is good, but O'Hanas is outstanding. The food is incredible and the atmosphere is great. They have hula lessons and coconut races for the kids. The food is cooked in an open pit in the center of the restaurant and my kids thought that was fascinating. My husband says this is his favorite place to eat in WDW and O'Hana and LeCellier are tied for first in my book.

Ohana was fantastic and we loved every bit of it!

'Ohanas was the best meal I had at WDW.. I thought San Angel was okay but it wasn't even in the same ballpark as 'Ohanas! The food and the atmosphere were fantastic and I can't wait to go back!! :yay:

Never been to Ohanas but we really enjoyed the food and the atmosphere at San Angel Inn ::yes::

we've never had dinner at 'ohana but we've dined at san angel and we were NOT impressed (okay, we left unhappy and hungry... quality was poor/service was worse)... if i were to eat at epcot i'd try coral reef again (excellent quality and service and great atmosphere) or biergarten (if you like buffets)...

or, perhaps try tepan edo... we're looking forward to it ! :)

While I loves me the ambience of San Angel Inn, the food is hit or miss (2 hits, 2 misses for those keeping score). I have never had dinner at Ohana, but I have had breakfast there many times. The food has always been high quality, and I love wandering around the Polynesian shops and the beach.

I'm sure you will have a wonderful time at either place!

Doug

I think the food at Ohana's is much better than San Angel.
