I can't get CM for breakfast. We'd like to go as soon as they open so we can get to MK rope drop.

All you can do is try. If you're going during free dining it will be tougher, especially at Chef Mickey's. That place seems to be packed all the time. You will not be alone in wanting to eat early so you can hit the parks!

I would think you'd have a shot at WCC, however it's a bit out of the way to get there, and if they can't fit you in, then what?

Your best bet is to keep trying to get ADR's for the times you want.

Eat at your resort early and get to front gates prior to opening. You'll be fine.

Try a walkup RIGHT at lunch opening. You might get lucky. Otherwise keep trying for a reservation.

Odds are decent. It happens all the time. However, I think it is more important not to put such a large value on where you eat because this is the time of the year where you are likely to be disappointed. Restaurants are packed and it is hard to get in most places.

That's the problem. CM is a tradition for us, we always eat there on our first morning at Disney. CP is dd9's birthday choice, and WCC is dd19's choice. This is her graduation trip.

I've been trying since our 180day point, with no luck!

I had a walk up of CM during prime dinner on a sunday in FD. Kinda bummed, since I hate CM and was only appeasing my child by "asking" while full well "knowing" they wouldn't have a spot. Uh, $95 later, we had a spot.
So yeah, totally possible. I always have ADRs for big trips, but we go very often and there have been many times I've just walked in and asked, and been seated.

No, I wouldn't panic. Keep checking online for availablility and try a walk up when you are there. Worse comes to worse you have your back up adr's.

Don't panic and keep trying. I've walked up to restaurants before, have a later ADR and explained to the CM that we were hungry earlier....we were seated within a reasonable amount of time...I know this doesn't happen often, but it does sometimes.....good luck.
