Would you like to see my Mission: Space pix?

Thank you for those.:) I love Gary Sinise.

Great Pics Laura!!!! Gary Sinise happens to be my favourite actor and wouldn't you know that a character he played in Mission to Mars was the the same name as my husband! :)

Great pictures! Did you love simulator rides anyway? I thought the spinning would get to me, but this seems like I could do it.

Nice photos. Here's a repost of one that I took as we entered the ride "capsule":

The seats are to the left and the control console is on the right. When the ride starts, the console moves towards you so that you can reach the controls and buttons.

I do love simulator rides. It's funny; the part I was most worried about before the ride was take-off, I'm a coward and tend to get scared when pointed up at the sky... but that was my favorite part! :) It really didn't feel like I was spinning, it felt like I was taking off into outer space.

Now, boomeranging around the moon was a little hairy - we got awfully close! Those craters got pretty big. :teeth:

Oh those were great! Thanks for posting them.

Is that ride like the "washing machine ride" that you got into and it spun and you stick to the walls? But your sitting instead? Not that there is any chance of me going into that thing, I was just wondering. Its on my list of things not to do at Disney.

Its a short list:
1) Dont pay full price for a room
2)Stay away from TOT, I just dont belong there
3)Dont go into rides that act like a washing machine.

At least you don't have to deal with the agitator, it's just the spin cycle. :teeth:

Laura ~

Thanks for the pix ~ Can't wait to try MS in October!!!!

Thanks for the pix!! I am really excited about this ride. My only disappointment is that I will have to go on it by myself. DH and I will have DS so we will be doing the baby swap...I really kind of hoped to experience it with someone I know rather than screaming at 3 total strangers! ;) :teeth:

Thanks Laura for posting those.

My daughter was so mad at me for not hanging around in that area to see if we could get on. But we were with first timers who had much to see in a short time.

She'll do it next time! I'll have to show her what we missed.

By the way, How long does that spin cycle last? Not sure about how that will effect me..... I'm getting green thinking about it now!

I'm not really sure. It didn't feel like we were spinning. I know that's how they create the G-forces in take-off and to slingshot around the moon, but I don't even know if they spin during the whole ride. The ride itself is just under 4 minutes.

Thanks again, Laura, for posting such great pictures. My kids and I can't wait to experience this ride in December!
