If it is a place like Bounce U, then I think I would let my kid go. But if it is a trampoline only place, then no, I would keep her home that day.

It's an indoor gym-like place. I do trust her teachers to take care of her, but all it takes is one awkward jump. I think I'll have to visit the place myself before I can consent to letting her go. And it makes me sad because I know she'd like it and if I'm not comfortable with it, she's old enough to know that she's missing out. I can't keep her home every time they go because they'll be going once a week, and I can't miss that much work.

Well I am just basing this off my DD's party at a gymnastics place where there was a supervisor standing right there as they each took turns jumping. She was telling them what to do and how to do it and everything was cushioned and not high off the ground. It was like the bounce houses they have at fairs only not with 10 kids in it with you. That is far more dangerous to me then kids taking turns on a trampoline with an adult standing right there guiding them. Not sure how this one is run but I was comfortable with that.

My kids are not allowed on the trampolines in peoples backyards there is just no way. Those things are a ticking timebomb.

Accidents can happen anywhere at anytime.. my son fell off the slide at the park we've been to 1000 times last week.. he broke his arm :headache:

Wait, if you are responsible for your daughter whether she is hurt due to her own actions or the actions of another, why do you have to have enough coverage if she hurts someone else?

I didn't answer. Trampolines only, no, unless there was only one child on any trampoline at any given time. Bouncy house, probably. Either way, I'd probably take the morning off and go. I'm not a helicopter parent, either, but trampolines and bouncy houses can be dangerous if not used correctly and/or well-supervised.

If your child ever goes to gymnastic parties, swim parties, jump parties, etc...you will be asked to sign the same waiver.

As a Mom whose DD broke her arm at a gymastics party (I was there) I would still let her do those things....accidents happen. Of course it has taken two years to get DD to try gymnastics again, but she overcame her fears!
