I was posting on a website that I frequent, which is very similar to the DIS in that it's got a message board where you can talk about random topics. I posted a thread with one of my writings on it and everyone seemed to like it. Then, on another thread entitled 'What really annoys you' this girl posted "the story that [insert my username here] wrote."
It completely baffled me because I do not even know this person! If it annoyed them that much, why did they bring it up?

It sounds stupid, I know because it's some internet person that I've never met and have no intention of meeting, but for some reason it made me feel bad? Maybe because I worked so hard on it and was very proud of it?

Ooo I've had similar things happen to me before. On many forums, there are people that take pride in making you feel awful and they can hide behind the internet, no face to face confrontation etc.

I wouldn't try to start an argument with her or anything. Just ignore it

Luckily on the DIS, we don't tend to have as many rude members.

I wouldn't let it bother you too much. You don't even really know that person and for all you know, they could just be jealous that you can write and they can't. Just blow her off and thank those that said they do like it.

Just let it go, she wanted to make conflict over it. She'll be dissapointed if you don't reply to it.

I wouldn't let it bug me.
People aren't gonna like things all the time.
But it was a really stupid way for her to let you know she didn't like it. she coulda told you what she didn't like about it.

It doesn't bother me as much now as when I first read it; it just really shocked me at first.

And to those asking if she was a troll, she's not. She's actually been a member on the site longer than I have, we just don't really talk. X33
