Would you have wanted to be insanely wealthy?

Just thinking about people and current events like with Lisa Marie Presley and Prince Harry and so many others.

Is there a trade off for having a mundane life of slogging to work every day to keep your head above water as opposed to being drenched in excesses with few willing to say no to you?

How does it affect one’s mindset?

Yes. I’d love to be insanely wealthy. :D

It’s definitely a different mindset being insanely wealthy from birth as opposed to getting wealthy later on in life.
This is an excellent point. It’s impossible to truly know anybody else’s life but outwardly it appears that the kind of generational wealth that relieves the requirement of ever making something of yourself is NOT good for people. :(

At this stage, after having spent my adult life being diligent, honest and generous, having the means to give and serve and go and do to the extent that’s in my heart would not be a threat to my character. No matter how big a number “insanely rich” is, I guarantee I could give it all away before I die. The one thing I wouldn’t do, however, is bankroll our kids (or anybody else for that matter) into lives of complete leisure and self-indulgence. :cloud9:

Sure. I'd love to be rich. I know they say that money can't solve all your problems, but it would solve all of MY problems. Fortunately, I have very little in that regard, and managing money is my only real concern - and I do well with that anyway, so I'm okay, but it;s be nice not to have to think about how much this or that costs. I plan to get a new car this year, but it'd be nice to jsut go buy literally anything I wanted - which would still be the 2023 Prius (looks sharp!) for about 30K.

I don’t think I’d want to be insanely wealthy. In fact winning a huge lottery kind of scares me. I’d love to have enough money to live comfortably and not have to worry about anything and have enough to help out our son’s family but I’m good after that.

Wealthy yes, not insanely. That comes with a lot of danger and responsibility as well.

I'd love to have plenty of money to do whatever I want, and help my family and friends where needed. But I don't want to think about people wanting my money, how to invest wisely, start a charity or donate (knowing you can never solve all the problems in the world)
