We have never been to vero, and have a one night ressie there in a couple of weeks, staying in a 2 bedroom. Don't know who all is coming with us. We live just under 2 hours away. Does this sound like a nice little getaway to you guys or should I wait till we could stay a little longer. These points were in holding, and I guess they could go back there again...any thoughts on this? Thanks, Eileen

I would love to live two hrs away from Vero. I think 2 days at Vero would be ideal, but one day wouldn't be a waste.

A little Vero is better than no Vero at all. ;) If you could make it two nights, I think you'd get more enjoyment out of it since you'd have a "full" day. If you can get to Vero early in the day and get into your room it will be great. If you aren't able to get in to the room until 4:00, it won't be as great but not bad.

I would go to Vero Beach in a heart beat for one night. It's a great
place to relax. JP:bounce: :bounce: :Pinkbounc :jester:

As you live only a couple of hours away I think you can make use of the time. Leaving early you could be at the hotel by 10 o'clock and enjoy the pool, beach and lunch while waiting for your room. On your day of check out you can hang around the pool until early evening. You can effectively get two day's use of the facilities for one nights accommodation.
As you've never been , it's an ideal way to check out the resort.
Have fun

I agree with Vernon!! Make it a LOOOOONNNNNGGGGG one night stay.............VB is wonderful.

Eileen,

I can completely relate to your dilemma.

We live exactly 2 hours due west of Vero. While we live only 50 minutes from WDW, and go over there all the time for just one night - we've never done Vero like that. We're reluctant to drive all that way for just one night. But we "have" gone over for 2 nights at a time on several occasions - most recently in February - another trip scheduled for October.

But, that being said, if you've never actually visited before - definiely go for it - it's a beautiful resort! We just bought more points there last week!

We have stayed one night several times, usually when we are diving between Gainesville and Miami and want to make a leisurely trip of it. We look forward to sitting on the beach or wading in the surf and eating in the nice restaurants. If we stay during the slow periods it is only 8 or 10 points for a garden room or studio, so this is a very good deal for what you get. Go for it!

We did it earlier this month. Our purpose in doing that was to check out the resort for future stays and to introduce our 6 month old DD to the ocean for the first time. Well, we accomplished both of those things, but I would have liked to add another day. All of the CMs were so nice, and it was really relaxing compared to WDW.

We did this in April. We stayed there the night before our cruise left out of Ft. Laudrdale.

Being so close, I would!!!

But.....we stopped at HH on the way home from WDW one year. It was wonderful, but it was just way to short for the first time. We just hated to leave! But that happens for us whether it is a week or a night at a DVC resort ;)

Have fun!
Karen
