Upper Theme Park view room at the PPH for a standard room at the DLH? They're the same price, and we've already booked the PPH, now we're just debating whether or not we should switch. From the pix we've seen that view is AMAZING! But people generally seem to like the DLH better...

Thanks!

Count me as one of those that prefer DLH. I don't like staying at PPH because it is so far away. Yes the view rooms have a spectacular view. But I don't like the walk at the end of the night just to be able to get to my room to enjoy the view. Also like the Neverland Pool at DLH. So yeah, for the same price, I'd go for DLH.

In part the answer depends who is in your party, I think kids perfer DLH, while adults may enjoy the view from PP more. Also the pool at DLH is more themed for kids, but PP has a slide that younger kids can enjoy because it doesn't dump into the regular pool, so you don't have to be a swimmer.

Having not stayed at the DLH it's hard for me to say, but we've stayed at PPH the last two years in a row and we enjoy it (I'm sitting on the bed there right now, writing this). =)

OK, the PPH is only 150 feet further than the Sorcerer's Hat outside the DLH. Its closer than the furthest tower of the DLH.

We like the PPH. I have smaller kids that tend to fall asleep by 9pm. I would love to have the theme park view to enjoy while they sleep. We never use the pools, so that is not a consideration for us.

The PPH is also too far of a walk for us. We've stayed at the DLH and walked over to PPH for breakfast (when it was Minnie and Friends). It was quite the hike to us, we were glad we didn't have to make it more then the one time!

The view does sound wonderful, but not really worth the walk for us. We like the DLH. The theming the Netherland Pool, so we'd pick there!

We had the theme park view, and it wasn't something I would specifically book. In fact, it wasn't, we were upgraded. And after the first "ooh that's neat" I realized I didn't like being able to look almost "behind the scenes", and the only time we saw the view was in early morning (as the bulldozers started up at the DVC construction site, which you can hear from the 10th floor) and at night once it was closed...not that exciting!

I would pick the view room at PPH for sure. But we don't have small children and the view is really important to me. I find cutting thru the Grand into DTD (by Sephora) makes the walk pleasant. We also love Yamabuki and think Lilo & Stitch is the best character breakfast, so that adds to our preference. The rooms seem larger and more updated to us. That said, we stayed at DLH hotel last week for my birthday and enjoyed it as well. Good luck deciding.:thumbsup2

Ive stayed at both and didnt feel the walk was much further (if further at all) from PPH. The park view is spectacular, especially at night. I'd stick with PPH.

We've done both. For us, for the same price, we would go with DLH. Just prefer the location. While it may or may not be closer, at night after a long day in the park it appeared to be longer. That said, I think it depends how much time you will be spending in your room and how important view is to you. This last trip we stayed in the Marina tower that faced the front of the hotel. Our room, while not a view, if we stuck our head out the slider (there are no balconies) we could see the fireworks at DL. I think it is probably just a personal preference. What we did conclude is that for the price there are many hotels off site that are much more luxurious and offer many more amenities than the DLH, PP, or GCH. But, the location of the on site resorts are prime.

Nope! We stayed at the PP last month for the first time and had a theme park view and it was awesome! It is only about 5 minutes away from the DLH, so not really that much further. And if you go through the Grand it's probably even closer than the DLH!

The view was incredible and we really enjoyed the hotel!

I've had that same view and it is Spectacular! I didn't think the walk was that bad. Just BEING there made it all good!!:goodvibes

I prefer the DLH to GCH and PPH. However, that being said I don't know if I would give up a theme park view if I had small children that might not be able to be in the parks until closing. . .

I can't agree more! We just came back from a themepark view room at the PPH. It was SPECTACULAR! The PPH is actually not that much further of a walk, and I personally feel it's a shorter walk to the parks when cutting through the GCH.

When we stayed at the DLH, we had a pool view, which isn't a standard view. Anyway, the pool view overlooking the Neverland Pool was nice, but it doesn't hold a candle to the themepark view we had from the PPH.

NO WAY would I give up a themepark view room for a standard view at the DLH!

Now if you were talking about giving up a themepark view room at the PPH for a standard view at the GCH.....I'd probably do it!:goodvibes
