Would you get Memory Maker for 3-day trip?

Hi! I am really struggling with this decision and running out of time as we leave next week!! I LOVE having Memory Maker. Its so nice to be all in the picture, and not have to ask strangers. I love the ride pictures/videos and how you can share the pictures right away on social media (can you do that without MM??)

I am not sure though if its worth the price for such a short trip. We normally go for 10 days, but this was a last minute, "bonus" holiday trip and we only have 3 days in the parks (plus one day at Disney Springs.)

What would you do? On one hand I feel like pictures are just priceless so I should just go ahead and add it. On the other hand, maybe we can just make do by asking people to take photos with our own phone and plan to purchase 1 or 2 PhotoPass pictures a la carte.

Thanks!

You can share photos but the Disney Photopass watermark will be running through each photo.

You can ask a Photopass Photog to take photos using your phone-camera.

We've started just defaulting to it...automatically adding it in. On a short trip I'd make a point to make even more stops at the photographers, to make sure you get your money's worth.

So in short - yes, I'd do it.

I get it for every trip, and I only take short 3-4 day trips. For me, it's worth it just to get the ride photos and videos, but I usually end up stopping at several PP photographers as well.

No. Call me crazy, but I don't think it is a big deal to miss a few ride photos, as most of them just aren't all that super.

I also always enjoy mixing up our trips a little and varying what we do. Not getting MM is an easy way to change your focus a little. Instead of spending time getting photos, you can spend it focused on all the other options WDW offers.

You always have the option to buy the MM photos when you return.

For our first trip with my 4 year old (5 days) 18 months ago we got MM and it was totally worth it. We saw all of the princesses, got all the ride photos, etc. We're going again next week and skipped the MM this time. If it is your first time and you are going to rides/events/meet and greets where there will be photographers, it is well worth the money.

I would say it is less the number of days and more about what you are planning on doing during those days.

We do it for every trip regardless of length. Our family does many character meet and greets so those interactions I enjoy having photos and not having to lug my own camera along. I get to enjoy the moment more without having to bother with my camera. There are also now photographers stationed around Disney Springs at some nice spots.

I say get it, with the holiday decorations up, you should get some magical shots. And they seem to have several Xmas only magical shots you can get done.

Oh really? I was wondering about that! I know Santa has one, but we aren't planning on doing that. Do you know where the others are?

There is a photopass store.location located behind (and forgive the bad spelling you are about to see) Gheridelli's.

I do. I take terrible pictures, so it's nice to have somebody else do it. My last trip was 3 park days. We got a lot of pictures, so yes, I'd say do it.

We have APs so it's included and we still don't use it so my answer, no it's not worth it. We found last Christmas when we were there the lines for the photographers were almost as long as the ride lines.

I noticed several while we were there but we didn’t get our photo taken with any except with Santa. I know for sure I saw one in front of one of the large Christmas trees and one by one of the fountains. I’m not sure if they only had them there because of the holiday decor or if they are always around Disney Springs.
