I love Disney and I love Universal. We are only there for four days. I am wondering if I should split our stay between D and U so we can take advantage of FOTL. Or should I just do Disney?

Or how about just one day at SeaWorld and three days at Disney? This way I know that there's no need to stay at U onsight.

Am I doing a little too much for such less time? Please let me know what you think..Thanks!

I will post this also on Universal board.

I don't know...it's creates a pretty full itinerary. To me, WDW is the best choice...for example we went to Un. once and after 2 days decided we were done and spent our 3rd day at WDW...but I'm not sure I'd feel done at WDW in such a short time to feel good about going somewhere else. If I was going to split it, I would split with SeaWorld personally becuase I haven't been there before. I think for 4 days though, I'd want all WDW personally.

I'm staying 8 days at Disney and it's not enough but it's only our second trip. Write down all the must sees at Disney and if it fits into a 3 day trip then use the 4th day to do something else. Question is can you do Universal in one day? I'm sure you could at Seaworld.

I know we can do Universal/IOA in one day...that is if we stay on site at U. We usually stay in Orlando for 7-9 days. And when we do, we usually split our stay at U and D. It just gives us enough time to do both and not feel too rushed. But this time, I can only go for 4 days/4nights.

I was thinking of maybe doing SeaWorld for one day and three days at Disney. I am so used to doing split with U and D..that I hope I won't miss U too much if we don't go or stay there. Hopefully I will be able to fit the things we REALLY WANT to SEE/DO at Disney and enough time to do SW.

But...do you think splitting stay 2 nights on Disney and 2 nights on Universal would be too much?

I would not want to split my stay like that...I don't like moving once I've gotten into a hotel. It's such a pain to unpack/repack in the middle of a trip.

we have been going 1-2 times a years since 1992, and still have never made it over to Universal. There is so much to do at disney, why go be dissapointed with the runner up.

We have gone to sea world a few times, but only because my dad gets us free tickts as an AB employee. if we ever had to pay for sea world, it would be skipped.

No disrespect but if you've never been it is kind of hard to criticize it...you should check it out before advising others to skip it.

You have been here before, and probably will again. (We know your addiction. Most of us share it. hahaha) ;)
I would go for it. I think you all wil enjoy US. And fotl can't be beat! :cloud9:
We have been to Sea World yet. I have heard nothingbut good about it though.

yeah splitting 4 days like that would be overload - I think - We were going to be splitting two weeks... and even then it will be a bit hectic - i am thinking about changing plans and taking the universal leg and just doing disney - would be nice to have a semi relaxed trip

Well here is what our trip to Orlando will be like

Tues June 28, 2005 - Trainer for a day at Discovery Cove
Wed June 29, 2005 - Sea World
Thurs June 30, 2005 - Universal
Frid July 1 to July 8 Caribbean Beach Resort at Disney World

We are driving down so we will be stopping at the Babyland Hospital (Cabbage Patch) for my daughter. We also want to do the Pirate's adventure dinner show and also the Dixie Stampede dinner show. Does anyone have any feed back on these two dinner shows.

Donna that schedule looks good - we always do DC when we go...love that place... getting engaged there this time... I would be curious to know about the other shows also

lastly, where is Babyland Hospital? WIthin a short drive of WDW?

Fantasia,

I think that if you really wanted to see US then you should go for it. It is not like this is a once in lifetime trip for you and you don't know when you'll be back. Some vacations are more laid back and relaxed and others are a little more hectic. Look at it like this, if you are only going to be there for 4 days, you can rest when you get back home.

Go for it and have a great time :cool1:

The Babyland Hospital is located in Cleveland, GA. That is where all the Cabbage Patch Babies are born. My daughter is so excited to be going there on our way to Disney.

The Babyland Hospital is located in Cleveland, GA. It is where all the Cabbage Patc Babies are born. It is really cute, it is set up just like a Hospital. You can check it out online. I think it is www.cpkids.com.

I hope this helps

i don't think that is really enough time to spread yourself out like that (CUTE KIDS by the way), we usually split one day between animal king and mgm although last time we spent most of the day at animal kingdom, i would give myself 3 days max for disney parks we skip epcot it is just not our thing, i have never spent an entire day at seaworld i have spent like 5-6 hours there, i love ioa,
let me know how you work it out.

I disagree with most of the responses here. We'll have 4 full days for parks on our next trip and will probably do 2 WDW parks, 1 WDW water park, and 1 UO/IOA. We were just at WDW last month and at UO/IOA last year, and don't mind if we don't do absolutely everything at all the parks. It really depends on what you're trying to see.

We'll actually have 7 nights, but we won't do parks the day of arrival or departure, and will spend 2 days with my parents (out of the parks).

On our short trip last Dec we did do one day US/IOA. My family loves those parks as much as Disney so I'd have to say for us even taking a 4 day trip we would spend atleast one at US/IOA.

We leave Friday...9 nights...8 actual park days. We promised our teen boys we'd take them to Universal this time. We haven't been off property since 1990. I don't have a clue were to begin... can you do both parks in one day? Is there a type of hopper pass for one day? We kind of thought we'd let the boys to to IOA and DH,DD and I would try Universal. DH and I have been to Universal Hollywood years ago, so we have an idea what's there and think we'd enjoy that park and our boys want thrill rides so we figure they'd get more out of IOA.

I'm just having a tough time selling out the moolah for a whole 'nuther park. Plus we'll have to arrange for Tiffany to run us over there. I haven't found a decent rental car rate for next week yet.

Any advice to Miss Clueless here??
Lori

For that short of a trip I would just stay at Disney, but then again I always just stay at Disney, what do I know? The kids do want to try Universal next trip, we will but I'll feel like a traitor.

don't drive yourself crazy!!!!!!!

4 days only...either stick with wdw all the way

or do US for 3 nites and seaworld for one

if you try to do it all, you will remember nothing

and if you do dedice to do US
stay at HRH, you won't be disappointed....

I love both places, but would not even think about doing them both in such a short time
