We are going to the Yacht club in Sept. It is my hubbys and mine 12 year anniversary andmy Daughters 9 year birthday. We can not afford to do concierge this whole trip. So I was thinking of just doing concierge for one night(the first night) then a regular room the rest of the time. Do you think this would be a big pain to switch rooms after one night?? We are staying 4 nights.

I don't think it'd be too bad considering you are staying in the same resort. At first I though it wouldn't be worth it - but then considering the age of your daughter, concierge could be very helpful in securing you those elusive CRT PS if you wanted them....

I would do it!! The only hassel I see is if your new room is not ready until 4pm and you arent planning on doing a park. But with your daughter, I am SURE you are ;) It would be great if your new room was ready when you check out of the first one. Its happend to me several times. Ya never know!:teeth:

Could ya squeeze TWO nights into the concierge?? ;)

Good luck to ya :sunny:

I wouldn't hesitate. Since you will be at the same resort, luggage transfer should be very easy. Even if you are not doing a park and your new room is not available....there is always SAB!::yes::

Also, since your reservation will be cross referenced, you may be preassigned the next room and there may not be any "wait" between rooms.

Who knows....perhaps you may get lucky and they upgrade you to Concierge the whole trip! (Fingers Crossed).

Have a great time and congratulations!

We stayed BC concierge for 5 nights in July. It was a slice of heaven! I don't know how we'll ever "settle" for regular rooms again! If you can swing it, definitely do it for at least the one night. It will be well worth the small inconvenience of changing rooms. Personally, I would save the concierge night for the end of the trip. A "regular" room may feel like a bit of a letdown after the concierge treatment.

Thanks for all the support !! :sunny:

I would love to stay longer but Im not sure if we can swing it!! Unless maybe I only stay three nights??!! I guess that is a possiblity.
We got to stay concierge last Sept for our anniversary and we stayed concierge in Jan (beach side) and it does spoil you!!!!:teeth:

Well I think I will keep the ressie. Whol knows maybe Ill win the lottery before sept!!!!!;) :hyper: :teeth:

I think that doing 1 night in concierge is a great idea. The only recomendation I would make is to do it on the last night instead of the first. You may find it hard to go to a regular room after being in concierge.

I wouldn't do it the last night. Here's my take on it. Arrive at the resort as early as possible. You will have immediate access to the lounge, then you will also have access the next day until midnight. You will be able to use the lounge for 2 days.

Good thinking Lori!:teeth: I never thought of that!! Of course, thats why I'm HERE!! ;)

I'm glad you posted this question... I was thinking about doing something similar for the CR 14th floor for our next trip to celebrate DH coming home from deployment. I was thinking the move would be a pain as well at first but if done on the first night you don't have to totally unpack, just take out what you need and you can leave everything pretty contained and then in the morning just get dressed, zip up the suitcases and it's not a major packing ordeal like if you wanted to switch in the end for one night. I know that with two kids we always get a little spread out by the end of the trip and spend some time organizing, packing and doing laundry. (even on vacation there is the darn laundry :p )

I say go for it and getting two days of lounge use sounds great. I'm definitly considering this for our next stay. Thanks!

Im getting very excited now!!!! I wish I could afford to stay longer but I think this will be a nice treat!! :-)
