My BF LOVES the NFL - literally, glued to the tv on sunday when the seasons in play. When we are going to be in Florida in December, there is going to be a game in Miami (he doesn't even really like the teams that are playing, it's more for the feel of the game - to be at an NFL game). Would you surprise him and head to Miami on that day to take him to a game? We really are already having some problems fitting in everything that we want to do. He isn't really into the whole Disney thing, and is really going just for me (he is into thrill rides, so he may like some of it!!!), plus it's his birthday when we are there, so it may be kind of nice to go, wouldn't it? I just don't know if I want to drive to Miami just for the day...what do you all think? Would it be worth it to do that for him??

Although it's a nice thought, if it were me, I would 100% want to know for sure if someone wanted to go to Miami for the game before buying tickets. It's a few hours driving each way from Orlando. (I'm assuming Orlando)

You stated that you're having enough trouble fitting every thing as it is so I say "There's always next year"

Just *my* opinion. Good luck whatever you decide.

Yes! I say go! go! go!

I'm sure he will appreciate what you are doing for him, since he's doing Disney for you!!!:cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

I would say go.
He is going to disney for you, so why not take some time out to do something he would enjoy. He may not rooting for either team playing, but I am sure he would just love to have the experience of going to a game. Make a day out of it, maybe a dinner and check out miami a bit while you are there.
I think that is such a great idea.
I am kind of doing the same thing with my trip in June, I know my BF is only going because I really wanted to go for my birthday, so I scheduled in a day to go to Daytona, and missing out on AK this trip. This way he will feel a lot of more part of thr trip.

Take him to the Dolphins game. Trust me. If he watches that much NFL he will love it. Get there early, take in the tail gate party and enjoy the game. it it a once in a lifetime experience.

Honestly I would look at a venue a little closer to home like Seattle or some place like that to head to for a game rather than taking time out of your Disney holiday.

It's a 3.5 hour drive, each way to the Dolphins stadium (way to far to drive, in my opinion).

Why don't you check to see if Tampa is playing @ home, on that Sunday. It's a much closer drive. Even Jacksonville is a closer drive.

Or, have him go to the ESPN Club @ BoardWalk, to watch ALL the games (great TV screens). Just make sure he is in the lineup to enter the restaurant by 11:00am (still later than if you got up early to drive to Miami).

Neither Tampa or Jacksonville is playing at home while we are there....the other option is to see who's playing NHL games while we are there....hopefully something comes up.

Now this I would do just check out the schedule when it gets posted early to mid Sept and see who is visiting the Lightning at the time.
