We are on the DDP (1st time) and want to experience Whispering Canyon Cafe (staying at Wilderness Lodge). The breakfast menu seems most appealing but I don't want to use a TS credit for it so I will pay OOP.

What do you think of a 7:30 breakfast at WC and then we have a dinner reservation at Crystal Palace at 5:25, which I could try to make a little later possibly then if we get hungry in between just use one of our snack credits?

Normally I would never plan two TS meals in one day but with the DDP it just seems like we have to unless I use some of our TS credits for this breakfast. What do you think?

Thanks!

I don't think two TS in one day is too much. My family has actually had three table service meals in a day! (We don't do the DDP.) I don't think that you will necessarily eat more than you would eating at counter service; hot dogs or burgers and fries are not light meals.

We did
8 AM--Breakfast at Crystal Palace (I had scrambled eggs, breakfast potatoes, fruit, 1 muffin. My then 3-year-old dd had some cut fruit and some cereal, and maybe a few bites of bagel or muffin.)

12:15--Lunch at Liberty Tree Tavern (I had a meal sized salad, and it was yummy! My daughter had fruit and yogurt.)

6:15--Dinner at Restaurant Akershus (I had a bite or two from the cold board...but not much, b/c the princesses were too exciting to my then 3-year-old, and arrived one right after another! I then had some of the chicken and pasta I ordered...though the pasta was way overcooked from my perspective. I did not pick well from that menu. I also had some bites of the communal dessert. I can't remember what my daughter had other than the dessert...hopefully something!)

Enjoy your trip!

I think that TS for breakast and again for dinner is no big deal. There is plenty of time in between. Lunch and dinner would be a different story.

We did this on one day of our trip last year. We had breakfast at CRT at 9am, then dinner at CP at 4:45. We had some Mickey bars in between, and were fine. Gave us plenty of time to work off the huge breakfast we ate, and we weren't miserable that night either.

I think there is nothing wrong with 2 TS meals. In 2005, we ate at Chef Mickey's, breakfast 1030am reservation and then a 920pm for Ohana, needless to say we were very hungry by dinner, too much time in between meals.

We have two TS meals planned for two days during our Free Dining trip at the end of August.

We are going to the Crystal Palace for breakfast and Cape May for dinner one day.

Another day, we are doing Hollywood Brown Derby for lunch (OOP) and Boma for dinner. Our lunch is at Noon and our dinner is at 8:00 p.m. I don't think it will be a problem.

Can't wait. :cool1:

We are doing a TS breakfast and dinner in one day as well. I'm just not planning on eating a lunch, maybe just a snack if we really need it. Just do a lot of walking and have a big day and I'll bet we'll be ready for dinner!!

We are doing 2 TS on our trip. Coral Reef for lunch and Boma for dinner! We are hoping to walk off luch around the countries!
