We will be there the first week in May.

Do you think doing the MK on a weekend will be crazy because of crowds?

Almost always do. Usually on Sunday when we get there. It tends to be slow early, but crazy busy late. This year we caught Spectro right in front of LTT, and our ADR was for 5 minutes after it passed. Then we went on Thursday and did KTTK and spent the rest of the day riding, then returned Saturday to pick up anything we missed and reride a few faves. We did Astro Orbiters with a less than 20 minute wait. We left the park by 4:30, and it wasn't crazy yet.

We are faithful Sunday-at-MK folks, usually because we tend to go home on Monday afternoons and we (I) have to end a trip in MK.

Plus, Sunday night is usually MK EMH night. We've noticed that the crowds can be a little heavy on Sundays from noon-sundown, but in the evening it clears out pretty good and we've never had anything but walk-ons during EMH with the notable exception of Peter Pan's Flight :confused3

We do MK on Saturday mornings and evenings and Sunday mornings. Works fine for us.

Sunday is our last day always. We leave early Monday morning for drive back to Texas. (we can make it back in one day) Sunday mornings has always been super great. I have found that most people head for Fantasyland at rope drop. Head to Pirates, Splash, BTM, that whole side of the park.

Last June I rode Big Thunder Mountain for the first time ever on Sunday morning. Then for the second, third, fourth, and fifth in just the amount of time it took to walk back around.

Yeah....day to avoid MK is Mondays. We go every May and the weekends are never crazy at MK. Monday always seems the busiest but it is not crazy crowded.

We go at MK either Saturday or Sunday, nothing to worry, no problem at all. Crowd is manageable. Have a great time and enjoy.

Have a nice day everyone. :)

We go on either day. Sometimes it gets extra crowded later in the day but it's no problem for us - we just change our plan or park hop to a less crowded park.

I was thinking that early May would be less crowded for you so you will probably be fine.

We did Magic Kingdom on a Sunday in August, and it was fine, we got lots done, plus had the 3 hrs EMH in the evening.

As others have noted, I have found that Sunday mornings in the Magic Kingdom are great, but the afternoons can get very busy. More often than not, Sundays are EMH nights at the Magic Kingdom. If you go on a Sunday, be sure to get there early and knock out as much as you can before the hordes start pouring in after lunch.

This is good to know because when we are there in March, one of our MK days is on a Sunday and they have evenig EMH therefore MK will be opened til 2AM :cool1: . I have heard a lot of negativity about going to a park on EMH days, but if we do all of the headliners plus Peter Pan very early in the day (plan on being there at rope drop), then after our midday break we can do the less crowded attractions for the EMH.
