Would you do a character breakfast on departure day?

Would a character breakfast on departure day be a good ending to my WDW vacation or should I keep that morning open for squeezing in a few last rides somewhere? We're staying at the Beach Club and I was considering doing the Cape May Cafe breakfast the morning we're scheduled to leave. Our flight is right around noon. Thoughts?

Definitely. WIth a flight at noon you will probably be leaving the hotel betw 9 and 9:30. Even if Epcot has EMH that day you won't have much time for anything. I would make an early ADR for breakfast and enjoy.

Yes - do an ADR close to your resort. I would suggest a 7:30 am breakfast - then back to your room by 9 am to freshen up and pack loose items. If your flight is at noon - you should leave for MCO by 10 am - maybe even 9:30 am depending if you have your boarding passes already and the # of bags you need to check in.

Maybe you could do a special dinner the night before you leave - such as Chef Mickey's or your favorite restaurant.
We like Chef Mickey's for our last dinner and then do a monorail ride around to say good bye to MK until we can visit again :)

Happy planning :surfweb:

Absolutely! On my first ever trip to WDW (in 2001), we did breakfast at 1900 Park Fare on my last day and I loved it. It was a great way to end my trip and I'd recommend it to anyone.

We have decided to make the Cape May breakfast a must do on check out day every trip. The restaurant is not crowded at 7:30 so you get LOTS of character interaction. With that early of a seating you should be able to make your flight in plenty of time.

We always go to Chef Mickey's on our last morning. Just made my ADR last week for our May trip. I think it's a nice thing to do before leaving, gives that last Disney fix! ::MickeyMo :goofy:

We're staying at the Beach Club, so I think I'll go ahead and book that 7:30 breakfast at Cape May tonight! Thanks!

Help me choose a character breakfast:

We will be checking out of POFQ on Sat. Oct. 21st. Our flight is not until 3:40 and we will be using Magical Express, so no rental car. I would like to sleep in a bit as we are planning on MNSSHP on Friday night. Where could we go on Saturday morning (again, a bit later) for a character breakfast before we leave for the airport? I'm thinking around 10 am. WE would just have the resort hold our luggage. Does that sound reasonable?

Yes definately. We do Cape May for our last breakfast before we head home. We drive so we opt for a later breakfast to keep us full most of the day.

We have Chef Mickey's ::MickeyMo planned for our departure day. :sad2: It will be our chance to say goodbye to the mouse and his friends. We are driving so we do not have to worry about catching a flight.

In your situation, I definitely would! I would have a nice relaxing breakfast on your last morning at WDW.

In my situation, we're not doing that. But our flight isn't until 8:00 pm, so we want to get as much into our day as possible!

Are there any other resort character breakfasts to choose from? So far I guess we have Cape May at the Beach Club and Chef Mickey's at the Contemporary. I have done Chef Mickey's before, but it's been several years ago. I won't be able to go to a park that day, so I am limited to resorts only.

Ohana's has the Lilo and Stitch breakfast now. 1900 Park Faire has characters at the GF. I can't think of any others. We are doing Chef Mickey's before we leave. I made the ADR for 7:30. Want to have time to say good-bye to the characters, the monorail and then head back to the cold!

I tried this in December, and it was an excellent decision! Besides being a great way to end my trip, it was a nice way to fill up before the looong plane ride with no food served.

We are already scheduled for Chef Mickey for our last morning. I don't think we could fit in much at the park with suck a short time so we are doing a goodbye breakfast with Mickey and friends :)

Cape May breakfast is our last thing before leaving BCVs everytime. One last bit of magic before the flight home.

Ditto!
Our last two trips we did 1900 Park Fare on the last day and it was really great! We should have done it before! The other trips we left later at night though and so we spent the day either at the parks, water park or DTD (DQ) before leaving. But the last two trips we - we did 1900 Park Fare on the last morning and it was great! (one of those trips we spent most of the day at GF- did the breakfast, kids did pirate cruise, girls did tea party- then we left for our flight in the early afternoon, the other trip we did the breakfast then went to the water parks for a few hours- then left for flight)

From now one we will be doing a character breakfast on our last day and doing other things instead of trying to rush in a half day at the parks. :)

We are having breakfast at Ohana's our last morning. Adr is set for 9 am so we can sleep in a little. Flight out is at 6pm and magical express will pick us up around 3:30. Yeah!!!!!! :cheer2:

WE always do a character breakfast on our last day-its a tradition. We usually do it around 10am so we dont have to wake up too early. We check out and check our bags, go to breakfast and usually have a few hours left before our flight home.
