We have 3 children ages 8, 6, and 3. We've never been to SOA, and was able to get a Category 3 table. My original question for you was whether you would still go if you would be in category 3. But, after reading some posts on this board, I'm wondering if this is even a good choice for three little ones. Please offer up your opinions, and feel free to offer up alternate suggestions if you wouldn't recommend a Category 3 seating. We have been to Hoop Dee Doo our last trip, and while we loved it, would like to try something new this time.
Opinions please......:confused3

it is not a huge place - you will be able to see OK - that being said we have stayed at the Poly several times and have never done this dinner/show as I really don't think my kids would like the food....

Category 3 seats are in the back. It will not be easy to see the show but it can still be enjoyable if you don't mind looking over people's heads. We always pay OOP for Category 1 seats. The way I figure it, you are essentially paying $50 when you use 2 DDP credits so I'd rather pay the extra $10 each and get a good seat. Personally, I don't feel it's a good value to use the DDP to see any of the shows as you end up getting the worst seats and you give up 2 TS credits (worth about $50) to do it.

That being said, we enjoyed the show on the last trip and my husband and I both loved the food. We are planning to see the show again this May when we are staying at the Poly again.

The seating is my biggest gripe about this place, because you are set up to eat, not to watch, so you have to look down the length of the table to see the stage. Even cat 1 seating can be bad. When we bought cat 1 seating, we were seated at the furthest end of the table, with a family of huge people between us and the stage. They were both tall and wide. It was very hard to see anything. If you are lucky, you might get the closest end of the table, or sit behind small people!
