Would you consider us crazy?

We didn't do trips so close together.....however......DH and I flew from Philadelphia for a two night stay last Feb without the kids.....co-workers thought we were nuts!! This was after our DEcember family trip.
Guess what ?? Doing the same thing this year again! We had a blast on our WDW Adults only two nighter and hope to make it an annual event!

I know what you mean about the smiling! We`re fairly new to DVC, we took our first trip "home" last month. I`m planning our `05 trip to SSR as I`m reading this thread, and another in Feb., `06. My DH wants to go in the winter months, after our next trip, (Aug. `05), and if my calulations are right, the 2 ressies will be 6 months apart! At first I thought " I love WDW soo much ", "is this for real, I can`t get there enough times" ,
So, yes I smile when i`m planning, smile when anticipating the trip, smile when I`m there, and smile thinking about the glorious time we had If we can swing an add-on soon , I`d love to do 2 LONG stays a yr. ( winter & summer )

I don't think you'd be crazy. You are close enough to do and Disney is wonderful at Xmas. I'm trying to work out some arrangement so that I can attempt MVMCP on December 17 (I'm arriving the 18th but I have a few scheduling conflicts for to arrive on the 17). If you only go to Disney once a year, pick the Xmas season. You will enjoy it.

Now that's a different story!! I am so torn between visiting WDW during Mardi Gras since I am off 3 weekdays for it, but we love going to or riding in the parades. It seems like everyone I know heads to Disney at this time and believe me, I wish I was going too, but Mardi Gras comes only once a year and I'd rather not miss that. I can go to Disney any other time of year!


I would like to thank everyone for their comments and suggestions. I am thinking about maybe having an extended vacation and staying through Thanksgiving and attending MVMCP on Nov. 28 which is Thanksgiving weekend. I figured we would keep our 5 nights at VWL, check into a value resort for 5 nights for the holiday weekend, attend the party on Sun. and drive home Monday. I figured we could save a little bit using what we would spend on our Dec. airfare on rooms at the value resorts since we will be driving in Nov. This way dh doesn't have to worry about flying (he hates to fly). Now, the question is....... could I get a room at a value resort this year for Thanksgiving weekend with a discount code.......if not there is always next year!! Okay, time to tell dh my ideas!!

I think both scenarios you've described sound wonderful! Let us know what works out for you.

My record for "craziness" is 3 trips within 7 weeks. Probably won't do it again anytime soon, but I LOVED it at the time!

We are from NY, so we cant really make frequent trips to Disney.

We really would love to go down and see WDW decorated for the holidays. We have mostly gone in the fall to WDW, so we have been thinking about going next year between Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Going when the parks are not at their "peak" times is great, and to see how beautiful the parks and resorts are decorated will be unbelievable.

You bought into the DVC and go to WDW frequently--of course you're crazy, so just go ahead and prove it to everyone and make two trips in two weeks!

You know we would if we could-LOL.

Seriously, we are all going back for Mardi Gras--24 of us at last count, so if you decide not to do MVMCP this year, but next year instead, y'all could join us in Feb--either way you know you'll have a blast.

As of now we are going back to our original plans where we will just make 2 separate trips.......driving there in Nov. and flying for our 2 night stay in Dec. Now I just need to book the flights and order the tickets. Speaking of tickets, should I order them now or do you think I can just buy them when I am there in Nov.? We will be attending MVMCP on a Sunday night.
