Would you consider HS a full or half day park currently?

You have to decide what shows and rides you want to do to determine this. Lots of folks who are responding that it's a half day park are not going to ANY of the shows.

Indiana Jones, Beauty and the Beast, Little Mermaid, Muppetvision, Disney Junior, and Frozen - are all "live" shows - and frankly, I think its hard to see all of them in ONE day - you have to plan carefully. There's also One Man's Dream - which should have a 12-20 minute preview movie.

Plus - the rides - TSM, RnR, ToT, and ST. Now - if you are going to skip any of these, that saves a bit of time.

Then - there is Star Wars Launch Bay - there's a little movie in there that's a must see for SW fans. Plus - the character meet and greets there (2 or 3).

Then - there are other character meetings depending on your family's interest. And if you have a kid the right are - Jedi Training is fun.

And Fantasmic or the Star Wars fireworks. I think ONE of these is essential.....

Plus - I think all three of the non-character meal TS restaurants there are fun - Mama Melrose's, Sci Fi, or 50's Primetime. We almost always plan one TS meal at HS.

So - if you read the responses of the folks that it's a half day park - they are NOT participating in many attractions. For a first-timer - it can easily be a full day park.

Our party is thinking about making this a 5-6 hour park for our upcoming trip - and it's hard for us to plan because we can't decide what to skip.... but due to travel plans - its the only time we have this trip for the park! But we almost always go to Indiana Jones, Frozen, Beauty and the Beast, and Little Mermaid. Rides we will definitely ride are ST and TSM. And we are just planning one QS meal.

My advice - you are first timers - if you can make each park a full day - do that! Parks that need two days for first timers are MK and ECPOT - if you have 6 days of park tickets.

Less than half... currently, it's a no day park for us. But, I'm pregnant and can literally ride nothing enjoyable. :rolleyes1

How do you find the early magic hours for DHS? Are you able to ride TSM multiple times? (One morning at California adventure we did that instead of cars land and probably rode it ten times in the hour... I think you couldn't even come close to that in Florida...)
We usually head towards RocknRollercoaster first, get than done in 20 minutes using Single Rider then head rob ToT and get that done in 20 minutes. Basically we'd be in line for TSMM at the end of the Magic Hour. After that it's just about seeing all the shows.

I couldn't ride TSMM too many times... sadly I find it boring.

HS is currently a half-day, every-other-trip park.

Depends on family interests and ages.
For my wife and I, probably 3-4 hours will do it. For our son and his fiance, it's a multi day adventure as they both love Star Wars.
We skip the Disney Jr stuff and Mermaid. My wife and I only ride TSM. We like the Muppets and the various shows.

With fastpass, we will probably go over around 4:00 and will probably do the Star Wars fireworks since we haven't seen them yet.
