DS will turn 10 after we get back. I am doing the princess thing with DD (7), but not sure aobut son. He is more into Star wars, and Nick shows though he does like watching disney. What do you think and if so, what do you suggest? I already have booked:

Wolfgang puck Cafe (for hubby if he goes)
Teppaniki for lunch
Whispering Canyon
PSB Breakfast
50's Primetime - (dinner same day as PSB)
Hoop dee do
Coral Reef
& ohana the last night

Wondering if HDD & WCC wil be enough for him.

Thoughts & TIA

Humm there are no characters at either HDD or WCC......well they ARE characters but not your normal Mickey, Minnie etc.

For a 10 year old I would suggest Chef Mickeys.

Why not 'Ohana (Lilo, Stitch, Mickey and Pluto) for a character breakfast for your son. Here's a link with menu and photos...

My DD9 isn't into princesses either and I have scheduled the 'Ohana breakfast for her.

My DS (12) now still loves the characters. On previous trips we have gone to Chef Mickeys (breakfast), Donalds (breakfast), and Crystal Palace (breakfast) and he has loved them all.

CP has Pooh characters and CM/Donalds both have Mickey characters.

I wouldn't hesitate in the slightest to book a character meal for your DS. Since you are taking him to a princess meal I would definitely book a regular character meal for him.

You're never too old for Chef Mickey's for breakfast!!

We just got back this week and our DS10 loved Chef Mickey's...it's such a fun place and we saw lots of older kids (without younger siblings) there. The food there was the best it's been compared to our other visits...everything was fresh, hot and flavorful.

My son is 10 and he absolutely LOVES all character meals. However I made the mistake of telling him about the rumors last month of a Buzz Lightyear meal and he about flipped when I told him it was not happening.

Anyway, we've done Crystal Palace and CRT (well more for mommy, but he still enjoyed it). This trip we will be doing Chef Mickey's, Liberty Tree and Donald's and he is very excited.

We've done Hoop Dee Do twice in the past and he is very upset that we aren't doing it again. It is one if his favorites.

So, a long way of saying that you son should enjoy just about any meal you choose.

As we are getting closer to our 180 day window, I have been discussing our ADRs with DD7 and DS10. Last year, we did breakfast at CRT, CP and Chef Mickey's. This year, I was going to keep CP as DD8 loves Tigger, but I was going to try different places. DS specifically requested Chef Mickey's.

My guys have always loved character meals. At ages 14 and 16, they still do! Their favorites at age 10, and now, are Donald's, Chef Mickey's and Garden Grill.

DEFINITELY he will still enjoy Chef Mickey's. It's a must do for us every trip, and my kids keep getting older and older. I still enjoy CM's!!!
Thinking he might LOVE Sci-Fi. The setting and the light-up ice cubes are just very cool to 10 year olds.

Enjoy!

DS was 13 last trip and insisted we do donalds breakfastusaurus again.

He might like Liberty Tree; Goofy in particular has fun with patrons (tripping up the step to the landing where we were dining -- twice); and Chip and Dale and Pluto are relatively boy-friendly. Minnie's there as well.

I recently asked DS10 where he would like to eat for our upcoming trip. He said, "I don't care, as long as there are characters." :thumbsup2 His father is proud...that's his only stipulation as well!

In any case, here are the places DS LOVES to go to:

1900 Park Faire for dinner...he loves to see the Prince.
Chef Mickey's for breakfast...we haven't done dinner, but my DS is a big breakfast eater
Garden Grill...he loves the food here plus the characters

He also likes LTT Character Dinner and Crystal Palace breakfast (I'm sure he'd like llunch and dinner, but we havent' done that yet with him)

He also LOVES the Hoop Dee Doo! DS has a great sense of humor and literally could roll in the aisles at HDD!

Basically, avoid the princesses and you'll be fine.

It depends on the kids, but my boys love character meals. My nephew, who is 15 STILL loves them. BTW, I'm 36 and I LOVE them too!!

Now to decide which one to take him to or to do breakfast or dinner. Was wondering whether to cancel PSB for DD and take them both to Park fair, or just do that with her and then one with both! ACK this dining choice stuff is hard! I was thinking ohanas cause I know he likes stitch, but then the mickey & originals are good too. Help!!

Ok, breathing now. Thanks for all the suggestions. kathy
