Would you choose sea day over Nassau?

So, as I mentioned in a previous post, I am contemplating a last minute 3 night cruise in Feb or march, to take advantage of lower rates before my youngest turns 3.I noticed some of the sailings only go to CC and not Nassau. We did the Dream once, we stayed on the ship on Nassau day, hoping for less crowds but it was still crowded! I am wondering which I should choose. Are there more activities on a sea day? Or should we just do the one with Nassau but stay on the ship like before? Also, I am looking at the Wonder instead of the Dream this time, not sure if that would change anything, thanks

For sure we would choose a sea day over Nassau. There are more ship activities on a sea day. Plus we love the Wonder. Try a new ship. Different restaurants and shows to see.

I would definitely choose the one with a sea day, as it's a nice experience to sail the ocean all day, rather than sitting still at a port, wedged between other cruise ships. There are also more activities offered on sea days than on port days.

If you're planning on staying on board in Nassau then I'd so the extra day at Sea. Although they have started planning for more people staying onboard during the port days in Nassau there are more activities planned on regular sea days.

I would choose the cheapest or which ever one fit your schedule best. DCL schedules more stuff on a Nassau port day than at other ports, so I think there would be enough to do. If the cheaper/best schedule one includes Nassau, than you can just choose to treat it like a sea day

As much as I enjoy sea days I don't think I would choose a sea day over visiting Nassau. I know most people prefer to stay on the ship in Nassau but I have experienced some great scuba diving trips in Nassau.

We chose a 3 night cruise on the Wonder in March because it had a sea day rather than Nassau.

I would also vote for the sea day... however, i have heard there are more activities scheduled on board on a Nassau day than other ports.. but, as I've said, I've only heard that. ... does anyone have a Navigator from a recent Nassau day? The ones I've seen are a little old and don't show "more activities ". Thanks in advance if anyone does!

Not the biggest fan of Nassau ... so the sea day trip sounds great. Not sure there are that much more activities on the ship but at least everything is open. :)

No, I wouldn't. No one will force you to get off of the ship at the port. You can have your sea day on the ship during your Nassau stop. Plus, arriving to and departing from Nassau is very scenic, even if you don't bother to get off of the ship.

I was on the WBPC and we had like 8 or 9 sea days. While I loved all the sea days, I noticed that a lot of the "extra" activities were adults only, so if you are going to take advantage of a lot of the sea day activities, be mindful of that fact that you may be paying for childcare so you can enjoy the offerings. Whereas our child was 4 and spent time doing extra activities in the club, while we partook in the adult offerings. There were very few "all-aged, family-friendly hosted activities" on board.

I had always stayed on the ship. Then this past November we decided to try the Blue Lagoon Beach day. We actually really liked it and will do it again.

It's not the same for many of us. Being at sea gives a feeling like nothing else. Being in port on the ship feels jolty and weird to me. I always wake up when we've docked b/c the feeling is so different than while we're actually moving.

Oh, and not having a port might mean a teensy bit lower cost, because of no port fees for that day.

Add another for day at sea. I wasn't a fan of Nassau at all and I left early to get back on board the ship. I'll be back to Nassau in a few weeks and I'll definitely be staying on board this time.

Aaaand another for day at sea!! Of all the wonderful Carribean Islands I've been to....ummm, nope...so sorry Nassau you are the bottom of quite a long list...womp womp. Stay "Saaaaailllin'!:music:" IMHO:)
