Would you choose 2 bdr BC villa or 2 standard rooms at BC or YC?

Well, I called back today, and they still had the 2-bedroom BC villa available, so I went and ahead and booked that. But.....I'm still looking. If we chose to stay at the BW in 2 rooms, we could save close to a thousand dollars. I'm just not sure what to do. The thought of renting points is swirling around in my head, as well, but I've never done that before, so I need to research the pros and cons.

Are your plans definite? Renting usually prohibits any changes.

If price isn't an issue, go villa! The full kitchen is nice for a large group and the washer/dryer means you can get by with just carry-ons if you are flying - a savings over checking bags. I also like having a place to sit and visit rather than just sitting on the bed. In short, I find the villas are more like a holiday.

We bought a contract there In 2007. Stayed many times with our youngest and one or two of her friends. Trust me there are two balconies.

Often. NOT Always. We had a2 BR with one balcony off the Master BR and none off the LR or 2nd bedroom

Balconies will also be impacted by whether it’s a dedicated two bedroom villa or a lock off. Lock offs typically have two balconies but our most recent dedicated two bed had one long balcony (with doors from both bedrooms and the living area and six chairs).

I didn’t think there were any dedicated 2 bedrooms at BWV. They do have dedicated studios though. I have stayed a number of times in the super long and wide balconies in the 2 bedrooms on the top floor at BWV in the red painted section but I believe there was a small balckny as well on the studio side of those units.

The 2-bedroom dedicated villa's at BC has a large balcony spanning the length of the villa.

Make sure to find the pathway shortcut to Epcot, cuts the short walk even shorter!

Is there a way of knowing ahead of time if we're getting a dedicated 2 bedroom or a lock-off? Is one better than the other?

If it's a DVC rental a lock-off or dedicated is a booking category. Some like the dedicated for two queens in the second bedroom, others like lock off to give the second bedroom more privacy with their own living area. It really depends on the makeup of the group, IMO.

EDIT: I see you booked on cash. My guess is it will be dedicated but you can add that to your room request. Most lock-offs end up getting booked as a studio and 1-bedroom instead of a 2-bedroom.

Thank you!! I definitely would prefer a dedicated since we'll be with our kids.
