if you were going to be at DL/DCA during a busy time (the week after Carsland opens). It seems like we'd be able to do Magic Mornings every day between DL and DCA (if Al Lutz is correct). We are staying at Fairfield Anaheim, but I'm going to look and see how much it would cost to switch to one of the Disney hotels. We are checking in on Monday, June 18th and starting in the parks on Tuesday and staying through Friday, so we have four days in the parks.

I seem to recall that in a previous post that there was no availability at the resorts when Cars Land was opening, and maybe the extra MM are why! I would check sooner than later if you decide to switch. Good luck!!!:wizard:

As of right now there is availability at Paradise Pier. It just seems that if AP holders are let in early on non magic morning days, we won't stand a chance to get to do Carsland or TSMM without a huge wait unless we are staying at a resort hotel.

I would do it! Anything that will give you an advantage over those staying off site is worth the price....but that is just my opinion.

I would in a heartbeat. As you said, you may not be able to do Carsland and TSMM without a massive wait.

To stay at Paradise Pier it would be almost $800 more plus $15 a day for parking. We are going to have to decide quick if we want to spend that much more money...

Have any of you stayed at Paradise Pier? We are supposed to be staying at Fairfield Anaheim (we've stayed there twice before). What's Paradise Pier like?

If you can afford it then it will certainly give you more time in the parks. We aren't going during Carsland opening but we decided to upgrade to PPH yesterday because we decided the price difference was do able for our finances this time. And since both DW and my birthdays are in May and our Wedding anniversary is just after our trip we would put all 3 into one and celebrate.

After reading Al's column, if it were me, I would definitely want to take advantage of the early entry during that time. I would purchase one AP for entry and then regular parkhoppers for everyone else in the party. Or stay at the PP... according to Al's column it sounds like you can do either... or both;)

Disneyland will maintain an early entry hour at 7:00 a.m. four days per week, while DCA offers the hotel customer base a 7:00 a.m. early entry the other three days per week this summer. But on the four days per week that Disneyland is open early for Magic Mornings, DCA will be open at 7:00 a.m. for Annual Passholders only as an AP-only Magic Morning offering.

We really enjoyed our stay at the PP a few years back (before the room referbs), its no GC, but you still get all the perks of staying onsight. Which we really liked. We had a view of the pier, which was really nice to look out on at night, even after the park had closed, it was all lit up.

My kids enjoyed the water slide and the pool area too.

There's no way I'd pay this much, even for early entry. You could possibly upgrade to AP for everyone for that amount or less. That's just me though, I could go on a Disney cruise for a week for that cost!

I wouldn't do it for that much money...I would sooner stay extra days with the money! We don't spend much time in the room, and even with a early entry benefit...I just couldn't do it. Not everyone has the same budget, though, and if money really weren't an issue I might do it. But I'd have to win the lotterey for that to happen.

Huh? I'm confused about how one AP would help. Then just one person gets EE and everyone else just waits until regular opening? :confused3

And my $0.02, I'd think about APs, early entry AND the chance to come back later in the year! :thumbsup2

Ooops, my bad, your right... I was thinking of the one AP in order to get a hotel AP discount. Your right they would all need to have AP's to get in. Good catch!

I don't think we're going to upgrade to a Disney hotel. I just can't justify almost $800 for three extra hours in the parks. Plus, I think it's a longer walk from there to the parks! We had already planned on doing the Fantasmic dessert package and breakfast at Minnie's, so that's another $300.
