Would you change from the FTP for a post card rate?

I am staying 5 nights at the ASMU, preferred building total package $646.00. I just got a post card today for $74.00 for a moderate resort. 5 nights would be about $470.00 with tax, plus the cost of a 5 day park hopper plus( I would get the 5 day park hopper plus ticket because I have one day from my ticket left over from last year) for $263.00 and my total would be $733.00, just $87 more.
Is there a cancellation fee for the FTP would it be worth my while to use the post card?

The savings on a five day trip isn't that great on the FTP--if it were a longer trip, it might make your desicion harder. I think if paying an extra $87 isn't a big deal for you, I'd go ahead and cancel the package and stay at the moderate. I see you are going solo, and it might be nice to stay at a nicer resort and spoil yourself (you're worth it, right?).

You won't get the framed artwork, and you won't have the unlimated admission to Pleasure Island, the water parks, and Disney Quest that you would have with the Ultimate Park Hopper ticket. If this doesn't bother you, go ahead and rebook.

Since it appears that you are 50 days out from your trip, if you make your decision on, I don't think that you'll have to pay any fees for cancelling the package. I believe that it is 45 days out is the last day you can cancel a package without penalty. It would be worth a call.

Whatever you decide, have a wonderful time!

I would change to the moderate. I'm using FTP but it works for me since I'm staying 8 nights. I wouldn't hesitate to change over if it were only for 5 nights and I couldn't take full advantage of 3 free nights. Besides, I love the moderates.

Well it did not take much to twist my arm, I cancelled my FTP without a penalty and upgraded to the POR, the cost for 5 nights is $440.00. Now I have to decide which building I'd like to stay, I like the mansions the best.

I would suggest that you call WTC and see if you can change

your FTP ressies for a moderate and apply the post card rate to

the FTP. You could find yourself with a moderate and saving

more money than you ever expected.:bounce: :Pinkbounc

I wouldn't hesitate to make the change! I'm keeping my fingers crossed that there will be some other kind of discount for my visit - I don't feel I got that great a deal with FTP!

I had asked if I could apply the post card discount to my exisiting FTP reservation but was told that I could not do that.

I am happy with my choice, I found that I actually have 2 tickets with one day each left over from our trip few years ago so I am just going to buy a 4 day park hopper. My vacation package will cost me about $645.00. The 5 nights at the Allstar, preferred room, with the ump was $646.00. So to move up to a moderate has been a good deal for me. If I had booked for 7 nights with the FTP it would not have been a good deal.
