Would you call this cheap?

or just frugal?? I walked to Petco yesterday to buy cat food. Well the one Phill eats was 49 cents a can!!! So I decide to leave and walk over to Jewel to buy it. (all the while my boyfriend is complaining) So it turns out over there it was 45 cents. Sooo, I bought one can, went home and fed Phill, got the car and drove to the PetSmart where I knew they were 32 cents a can!!! :rotfl: :rotfl: So what should have been a 15 minute trip turned into over an hour! :teeth:

Hey, the change I saved is a diet pepsi for me, and diet pepsi for me keeps everyone happy!! :teeth:

If you had of walked to the second store, found the food for 32 cents a can and bought it, I'd call you a smart shopper. Or if you stopped by Petsmart on your way home, I'd call you frugal. If you had to make a special trip very far from home, with the price of gas, I'd call you, well, I don't want to name-call. :teeth:

I probably would have bought a few cans at the second store, then when I was near Petsmart the next time I'd stop in and stock up. Speaking of which, I need kitten food today and do plan to go to our local (small) pet store, but if it's expensive I'll buy enough to get the kittens by until I'm near Petsmart or Petco.

Before the gas prices were so high I would probably have done exactly what you did. :rotfl:

T&B

I just drove because at this point I was too lazy to walk!! :rotfl: No, I normally wouldn't do this, but I'm stretched mighty thin 'til payday so every penny counts!!

My boyfriend and I were just having a good laugh over it later in the night. :teeth:

I probably would have done the same thing. If I am grocery shopping and something is 50 cents, and I know it is 40 cents somewhere else, I won't buy it just on principle. :rotfl:

Well, it depends, what kind of car do you drive.

I thought you were going to say, "it depends, what kind of cat do you have?" :rotfl:

How much did you spend in gas?

Frugal would be getting the cat to eat dry food, and getting away from the messy, expensive cans. (The litter box will smell better, too!).

Nothing. I haven't put gas in my car in over 3 weeks. :)

He can't. He's on a special diet. :)
