My nephew got married on June 26 and for a wedding gift we gave the couple a 4 night stay using our DVC points, together with 5 day tickets. Right after the Dis stay they have a business trip to Miami so they have plane tickets.
They already had their "real" honeymoon right after the wedding, went to Italy. They're very excited now about the bride being 8 wks pregnant (a honeymoon baby) and they plan a low-key trip since she has 1st trimester fatigue.
It's also the bride's 1st Disney trip, the groom last went as an older teen.
I was looking up their reservation on the dvcmember.com site and there's an option to enter a "celebration" from a list--the options are b-day, anniversary, engagement, honeymoon, 1st visit, wedding, personal triumph, other. This is what the instructions say:
"What Would You Celebrate?
If you'll be celebrating a special occasion during your stay, please let us know so that we can help you make your visit even more memorable."
Last year we went on a family trip a few days after our 14th anniversary--we entered that as our celebration info and were given anniversary pins & a card, and were greeted at check-in by the CMs.
My question: If you were these newlyweds would you call this a honeymoon? Would you want to hear honeymoon congratulations if your "real honeymoon" was 9 weeks ago and you're now pg? I know a lot of people are pg or have kids already when they get married. But they're an old-fashioned couple, didn't live together before they got married qnd may be a bit embarrassed to be "honeymooning" while pg? I'm wondering about putting down the celebration as "First trip" rather than as a honeymoon?
WWYD?
TIA for any thoughts & suggestions!
