Would you buy your DD17, a high school senior, a blush that is sold by Sephora named "O*****"? (I'm sure the word would be filtered for this board, but that's the name of the blush DD wants.) Would you go ahead and get it or say no???

Um, I am thinking no. I mean I know that it isn't like a T. shirt that reads it everywhere she goes. However if you buy it, that supports them naming a color with that name. Not appropriate I think. It also let's DD know that you don't mind her wearing something with that name, because the color is nice.

I guess I think that if she really liked the color, something close with another name could be found.

I think if she bought it herself, and didn't go showing it off (the case) , that would be a different story.

I can see how some people might not, but I don't think I would. (My kids are too young for blush.) My DN age 14 would be too embaresed to want it.)

I probably would as long as I didn't have to explain what it meant. That's assumming, of course, that she already knew. Besides, she could just as easily get it herself. Good luck with this one! :sunny:

Yes because it is the BEST blush ever. (I've just hit "pan" on my 2nd one.)

trust me. it's by NARS and totally worth the money. it's only the name, and it's written so small on the back of the container as well.

they also sell a gift set with the matching lip gloss.

it's just a name and, quite honestly, your daughter is 17. not 7

Absolutely, but that is probably because I wear it now... all the time. In the long run, it is just a name. The lip gloss is great too.

I think it's a stupid name for make-up, but I wouldn't have a problem buying it.

This stuff sounds great. Where can it be found? Who knows, maybe I can have an "O" for Christmas! :rotfl:

Hmm, now I want this blush!
And I don't see a problem really with buying it for a 17 yr old.

ok - if she wants this blush and you're not comfortable buying it for her...check out the Milani line of blushes at drugstores...buy "Illuminous"...it's nearly the exact same shade.

However, I will give NARS credit - their blushes last ALL DAY and are worth the money.

What's so great about it? Is it the color? Or is it the type of blush? Maybe I need to head to Sephora this weekend. Sounds like a good early xmas present. ;)

it's a universally flattering blush. pinky peach with a bit of shimmer. great staying power too.

gift set

just blush\

If she wants it, why not? I've tried the blush, and although I wasn't impressed (I wear a darker color--Cargo Polynesia), I could see it working for other people. And I'd think a 17yo would know what the world means anyway.

I would certainly buy my 17 yo something with that name on it. I'd hope she knew what one was by that point in her life. It took me a good bit longer to find out. :rotfl2:

ETA: nevermind, I see to get a "multiple O" costs $45 -- I wouldn't pay that much for blush for myself let alone someone else.

Not only would I buy it for her, I'd probably borrow it from her!!!!!!!

I would if its the color she likes. I don't really pay much attention to what they name the colors anyway.
