Hi I am planning a trip for Dec should I buy a bathing suit or will it be to cold to swim. I live in florida and it gets kind of cold in florida. To cold to swim anyway. If I am going to buy a bathing suit I need to buy it now.

I know that my relatives went last january or feb and they did the water parks.. Also, remember there will only be one open in december, so if it is nice, and people do go, it could be busy (but i dont know how many will go even if it is nice in december)

We live in NY so to us 80 degrees is not cold we definitely went swimming in December.

My kids swam last year. We were there the week after Thanksgiving. The pool they went in wasn't even heated!! We're from Jersey so it was still warm-ish to them!!

I say buy the bathing suit..just in case!!

I agree with the PPs -- it's all relative, it depends on where you're coming from! When we lived in FL, we were at WDW in winter coats in Dec whereas Northerners were in tank tops.

We went at the end of January - much colder than December, and had plenty of days warm enough to swim.

Go get your bikini ready :)

We live in PA and I felt it was def too cold for swimming when we went in Dec. But weather can change and if it was 10 degrees warmer it would've been fine.

You never can tell. I went the last week of October in 2005. Because we went right as Hurricane Wilma went through, the first day was very hot and humid, but afterward (after the hurricane went through), it was definitely to cool to sit at the pool. I tried, but gave up after 1/2 hour. It was great weather to tour the parks, but not pool weather.

I say get a swim suit and hope for the best. You should be able to catch some great summer clearances for swim suits.

At the price of the vacation, the cost of a bathing suit plus the small space it takes up in a suitcase is a no brainer. No matter where we go or when, we pack suits, weather can change, resorts have in door pools, other than Disney, so you're always prepared. We each take 2 suits, wear one while other dries, I hate putting on a wet suit, we use the pool many times a day during a stay, seems to me that the pool seems warmer after the sun sets, even during the winter, only problem is getting out the air is cool and the trek back to your room in the AC'ed halls is extra cold. Buy one and take it, you won't regret it if the weather turns warm.

We were there the first week of Dec and it was 95 degrees everyday but the last and even then it was that it was cold it was really really really windy.
