I will certainly say a prayer for your son, and for his understandably worried mom. I have acid reflux (minor usually though, which is fortunate), and it can make you feel so bad. I pray that the procedure goes very smoothly and they are able to determine the problem and treat it effectively.

I have had it done 2x. The first time the medicine didn't work and I remeber everything the second time they doubled the dose and I do not remember a thing except every time I woke i continued talking where I left off when I fell back to sleep.It was very wierd and my husband still makes fun of me. Your son will be fine. He will be sore a little.The tube with camara is the size of a pencil round. I will keep him in my thoughts and hope they can make him feel better because I know how bad he feels.

btw.. at age 19 my DS was dx's with H. pylori...... took the Army a LONG time to get it correct. He took the meds for quite a while and was finally weaned off them. It took a while for him to regain his strength but he has done it.

Oh, Blondie.... how hard it is to see our kids go through this!

I went through the whole series of GI stuff some years ago so I can totally relate. So many tests, so many pills, so much money.... nothing worked until I changed my diet. Doctors just won't tell you that.

Hopefully your son can come away with a clean bill of health and give you all some peace.
