Would Whispering Canyons scare a 1 yr old?

I have heard so many great things about WC and really want to go. I wonder though if all the noise would scare my 1 yr old or even my 3 yr old.

Has that happened??

Unless your kids are noise sensitive, I don't think so. There's a lot of yelling, and ringing of the dinner bell, and banging of the trays. They might be startled by some sudden loud noises, but I don't think anything would be frightening for them. It's a happy atmosphere.

I don't think it would scare them, it's really not scary, but can be loud at times! Are you staying at WL? If you are, stay in the lobby for a while when you check in, walk close to WCC and see if the noise upsets them. If you aren't staying at WL, get there way before (or check it out a day before your ressies) go into the WL lobby.....WCC is right off the lobby, sit around and walk around getting closer and closer to WCC and see if the noise bothers them!

It is a fun restaurant, hope you and yours get to enjoy it!

There were several young ones that were there the last time I went. None of them had a problem. Actually, a lot of them seemed to enoy the playful atmosphere. Unless they are extremely jumpy, they should be fine.

If your child if really effected by loud sounds you might have a problem. I have seen kids loving it and also having a really hard time.

I'm thinking if you have a one year old and a three year old..they probably make their fair share of noise..and would fit right in. I don't think it would bother them at all. It's really just family oriented, and good fun for kids and adults a like.

I took a one and 3 year old last year and they were fine. Its got a lot to watch. I say go for it.
