Would this work to meet Beast?

My daughter and I will be at WDW Sept 3-10. We have the QS dining plan and will have lunch at BOG one day but really want to see/meet Beast. My understanding is that the only place to do that is at BOG for dinner.

So, I am wondering if we can just get soup or dessert at dinner and meet Beast? We do not have ADRs, but is standby for 2 available early or late? What time do they start dinner? Do they shut down/clear out from lunch before starting dinner, or could you have a late lunch and linger to meet Beast? Maybe get in right before close? Any ideas would be welcome! Thanks :)

You should definitely keep checking for an ADR. People cancel all the time. Or you could try to go right when the check in for dinner ADR's opens. But, it's no guarantee. I have seen people turned away, with nothing available. Once you actually get in, there is no limit on what you can order. Although, I do recommend the strawberry cream cheese cupcake. It is amazing! Good luck! :goodvibes

They totally shut down between lunch and dinner (we have been the last group out for lunch), so you cannot stay to meet Beast.

You definitely need to keep checking for ADRs. When we were there, I didn't hear them let any walk-ups in and they were telling all people who asked that they book up at 180 days. You can always ask, but the chances of a walk up there are slim. If you are in the park, I would suggest asking early about getting in.

They do clear everyone out from lunch, so no way to linger.

Your only option would be at dinner. If you can't get a reservation you could try a walk up. I'm sure two is easier than most other walk ups, but the restaurant is consistently full so I'd be prepared for them to say no.

Once you're in you can order whatever you like.

Thank you everyone, I will try to get an ADR. If I do, great, if not no big deal. We have already decided that we are going to have a WONDERFUL time and not get upset over little stuff :)
