Would this bug you? Post man/dog issue..

I wouldn't complain...YET. I'd set up a video camera and video the guy delivering mail and banging on the door. Then I'd post the darned thing on Youtube and send a link to the Postal Inspector and everyone single person you know. Don't forget message boards and news channels! Seriously, you've already tried to complain about this guy, time for him to pay.
And yes, I know I'm evil, but that's what I'd seriously do.

I would do this but first send it to the postmaster general. If no response (send it certified mail! :thumbsup2 ) THEN post it all over the place.

This would definitley bother me!

Maybe you can get on his good side: leave him like a $5 giftcard for Blockbusters or something for the Holidays?

That being said, you shouldn't have to get on his good side- he should deliver your mail and be nice to your dog, especially since it clearly wasn't attacking him.

Sounds like my Shih-Tzu.

To be fair, it is some seriously scary lickin'!

You should have seen Rink last night when DH gave him his empty milkshake container. We were seeing some crazy tonuge action-- we didn't know it was that long! :rotfl:

I'd be installing a doggy door and doggy sitting for a rather large Doberman or perhaps a Pit Bull. ;)

I would have yanked that door open so fast he would have fallen in

If this is what he does daily, I love the record the incident. I would then go down to see the postmaster and show him. He then has 2 choices, he can either do something or he can be tried in the court of public opinion :thumbsup2

My dog always lays out on our enclosed porch and will bark at the mailman, but our regular mailman just waves at her or gives a gentle tap on the glass to kind of acknowledge her. They're buddies.

We had a substitute one day that refused to walk up our front walk because the dog was barking. I went outside to get the mail and asked what she was planning on doing if nobody came out. She said, "I'm afraid of dogs, I would have just skipped your house."

I get the fact that it's a job where you never know if a dog is secured well, but skipping houses just doesn't sit well with me. What if I have something that is time sensitive in the mail that day?

What an idiot.

My grandparents had a dog that wouldn't hurt a fly and the mailman was such a jerk he sprayed some stuff in her eyes and she went blind because of it. :sad1: JUST because she was out in the yard when he came.

I'd definitely be complaining until you got something done about him.

Aww, that poor doggie. Did the postman get any sort of reprimand??

Exactly, like I said earlier I think the only reason he even bothered today (given he got here as school was letting out) is because DH got meds from th e VA with a 2day air/delivery confirmation on it.

It does make me wonder... Rink was never this bad. A doorbell rings on TV and he freaks out! :rotfl:

I was told that if there is a dog in the yard the mailman can skip the house. My dog loves our mailman who carries dog treats and knows our dog is a pushover. One day there was a sub and he refused to bring the mail to me. I had to go to the next house and get it because he was afraid of my dog who is blind and deaf and over 21 years old.
On another note, I complained on Monday because our regular mailman is on vacation and I left a letter in my mailbox on Saturday and the sub didn't take it.
I had left the red flag up and I know he saw the letter because it was right in the front of the mailbox.
It was a letter to my son who is at Marine boot camp and going to go through the Crucible on Thursday. I wanted to make sure he got this letter on Wednesday because in it I told him how proud I was of him and I would be thinking of him during this very hard trial, and how I know he can do it, etc....
I mailed it Monday priority but they couldn't promise it would get to him for the Wednesday mail call.
Anyway, the person in charge at the post office basicly said "Oh well, our bad"

Hopes he kicks some serious butt on Thursday! We're all pulling for him. Thank you to your family for your sacrifice. May God Bless and keep your son strong and safe!

DH was in the Marine Corps.. he said "Good Luck and I don't envy you!" :rotfl:

Thanks for you and your sons service. :thumbsup2

The dog was obviously not a danger to him, being on the other side of the door, so why bang and yell at the dog? Just drop the mail and leave. :confused3

I agree. Your dog isn't a threat. The guy obviously isn't afraid of your dog or else he wouldn't antagonize the dog with the pounding and yelling. I'd try to catch him in the act and tell him to his face to knock it off.
