I love shrimp cocktails, but with just the plain cocktail sauce. Would it be rude to ask for just plain sauce?

My DH does this all the time...he just asks for sauce on the side:thumbsup2

Not at all...WDW restaurants are VERY good at accommodating their guests requests...if it is available, you will have no problem getting it. I have even heard reports of chefs running to other nearby restaurants to get things they do not have in their own kitchen...however, do not EXPECT or ask for this to happen...asking is not rude at all. Have fun and EAT MUCH!

No, asking for plain sauce is not rude......but NEVER ask for ketchup for your filet mignon! We dined at Morton's one evening with a colleague and his girlfriend. She asked for ketchup for her filet. At first, the waiter thought she was kidding.,,,,,she wasn't. He brought her a bottle of ketchup wrapped in a napkin!:lmao: We still laugh over that one.

My husband would ask for ketchup if he needed it for his filet mignon. His motto is if it's from a cow, it needs ketchup. Sorry to all the purists out there but that's the way he is. But he doesn't put ketchup on his prime rib. Then again, he very rarely orders prime rib.

If they seem unwilling to bring you some cocktail sauce then ask for some ketchup and horseradish. Mix them together and you've got your own homemade cocktail sauce.........you might even find the guy at the next table asking to do the same thing!
Shrimp.........YUM!! :goodvibes
