Would this be okay?

DS and I are doing a Mom/Son trip in August. We have the dining plan but I really want to try Fulton's in DTD. I would pay OOP for this meal. I really want to try the king crab claws. I love crab legs and so does DS. However, I had LapBand surgery about 10 months ago and really could maybe eat 1 claw if I am lucky. Do you think it would okay to share with DS. I dont know why I feel uncomfortable doing this at Disney, we do it all the time when we go out to eat when we are home. Any thoughts?

That would depend on whether or not it is the policy of Fulton's to allow sharing meals. (Disney restaurants generally allow it, but Fulton's is not a Disney restaurant)

As far as has been reported here, Shula's is the only onsite restaurant that charges a sharing fee.

Its been quite some time since I have eaten at Fulton's, some years ago I had to get the 3lb maine lobster. I believe I shared my dessert with my family member and there was not charge for sharing.

Thanks, Anyone know the policy.

At home I would not mind because I could take them home for later, but there it seems like a waste to pay $49.95 to eat 1 claw. I guess I need to find out the policy, if you cannot share it would probably be smart for us to choose another place to eat.

Why not call Fulton's and ask them? Googling Fulton's Downtown Disney would probably result in a phone number.

I've never eaten at Fulton's so I can't say whether or not they charge for sharing but I have never seen it reported.

How old is your son? If he is a child, I don't think anyone would possibly care. My kids are light eaters and share meals with me all the time. It is often not worth buying for them. Who will know (or care) that you are the the light eater of the pair?

Even if he is an adult, I can't see anyone minding. At worst, you will get a sharing fee. But even if that is $5 or whatever, it is still a better deal than spending all that money for something you can't finish (plus a separate meal for DS). My MIL and SIL share food all the time and no one has ever questioned them or cared.

He is 9 now but will be 10 when we go on our trip. He prefers "adult" food to kids meals anyway. He is a meat and potato boy-always has been. I knew he would be when he was 2 and we went out. I ordered him a grilled cheese sandwich and me a steak. I ended up eating a grilled cheese because he wanted my steak:rotfl:. He counts his meals and wants 3 square meals a day!!!
