Would they, could they ever build a walkway to WL?

There is actually a sidewalk that goes under the water bridge. Depending on your perspective it starts just off the "exit" from World Drive to the CR convention center and ends just south of the Monorail line and a bit north of the WL parking lot (not the drive in entrance.)

I used that sidewalk when I ran the Disney half marathon many years ago. We ran from the TTC, under the monorail, to MK on closed roads. But it is not protected from traffic and there is no way to get to it from the WL.

Welllll - there is another solution . Build a bridge WL to Contemporary, at the narrowest point of the waterway?

I don't think they will, but the best option would be to connect WL to the Contemporary, It could be done without connecting/using the road.

While my family would use it, I'm not sure it makes as much sense as finishing the GF walkway...that just killed me every time we went over that path on the monorail.
