Would there be ANYTHING I could ride?

My family is planning one day at Universal Studios/Islands of Adventure.

I have a hernia that I will be having surgery to repair when we return from our trip. I have to be VERY careful not to ride anything that will jerk me really hard. At Disney I can't ride RnR, ToT, Dino., etc. I will ride Test Track and Splash Mtn., but that is it for "thrill" rides.

With these restrictions, will there be anything I can ride at Universal? I'm considering sending them without me and spending my day at Epcot.

Any advice? :confused3

Let's see:

At US: Shrek 3-D, Terminator 3-D, Horror Make-up Show, ET, Animal Actor Show, Jaws, Twister, Beatlejuice show, Blues Brothers show, and possibly Disaster.

AT IOA: Jurassic Park River Adventure, Sinbad stunt show, Poseidon's Fury, High In the Sky Trolley, and Cat In The Hat if the spin is still turned off. The thing about IOA, is that the dedication they put into the islands' scenery makes this park worth visiting, even if you don't plan on doing many rides.

I will have agree with the above posting which also they pretty much covered majority of the things that you still can see, and the park is pretty neat to walk around the see.

I agree with previous answer EXCEPT for Shrek 4D. No way would I sit in those seats with a surgery coming up. I find that the "horse carriage" scene is just brutal. Also, do NOT go to Jimmy Neutron- the "chicken dance" scene is painful. You can always ask for the stationary seats, though. Have fun!

Jimmy Neutron has stationary seating.

Thanks for all the advice everyone! I've decided not to chance it. My family is going without me, and I'm going to Epcot alone.

I think I'm the winner here. ;) DH is asking which day he gets to go alone. :lmao:

OP did u clear all the walking u'll be doing in the parks pre surgery w/dr?

I did. She is making me wear a hernia band, but she said I could go. :woohoo: I really expected her to say no, but she wants me to walk as much as I can stand it for excercise. She said there is a chance I could get worse, but I know what to look for - and I'm going to be super careful. If the walking hurts too much, I'm planning to rent a scooter thing (can't remember what those things are called :confused3).
