Would the world be a better place if wishes could come true?

Something I was pondering last night, But I wasn't sure, so I thought about your guys opinions and, what do you think? Would it?

The world would be a better place if wishs did come true, but then it wouldnt sometimes. For example my sister and her friends all want to marry Nick Jonas. THat kid would be married to so many girls if wishs did come true. But if wishs did come true there would be no war and no one would be hungery so it has its pros and cons.

Sometimes it would.
Example: I wish for world peace.
Great thing.
But then others could wish to rule the world...
Not so great thing.

It would be great if all my wishes came true because I'd be living in WDW right now. :]

If all wishes came true, I think the world would be a disaster.
It would just be horrible.
If everyone got what they wanted by wishing, then we could have bad guys wishing for bad things to happen, etc.

Seriously if wishes came true i'd have killed a lot of people. Every would just wish against each other. I mean you could have someone wishing for tony blair back 5 minutes later somebody wants gordon brown then in another 5 mins you get tony blair again.
It'd be a mess.

The world would be all chaos. There would be people dying left and right, but there would be small specks of good, too. But still...the reward doesn't outweigh the cost. I know that several people (including myself) would be dead if all wishes came true.

I agree with all of you! I figured that the world would be bad, I just wanted to hear what you guys had to say about it. But even though it would be cool ig GOOD wishes could come true, I like the world just the way it is

( though a cure for cancer and world peace would be great )

It would be nice, but no, I don't think that the world would be a better place.

There are the innocent (though sometimes selfish) wishes:
"I wish I had a million bucks!"
"I wish I was a princess!" (to all of you 6-year-old girls at heart)
"I wish that chocolate wasn't so fattening."
"I wish that somebody would love me."
"I wished that everyone loved God."

And altruistic wishes, which are a great thing:
"I wish that there was no such thing as cancer."
"I wish that everyone was nice to everyone."
"I wish for world peace."
"I wish that there is no such thing as AIDS!"

But there would be malicious wishes:
"I wish that this famous person would dump their wife/husband/girlfriend/boyfriend for me."
"I wish that this person would die."
"I wish that I would die."
"I wish that my parents would jump off a cliff."

And horribly bizzare wishes that would cause disturbances:
"I wish I was an Oscar Meyer Weiner."
"I wish being a Republican was a crime."
"I wish that aliens exist."
"I wish that Britney Spears would vanish."
"I wish that I knew what was inside Area 51!"
"I wish I had [superpower]."
"I wish that I supreme ruler of the world."

And then, someone would do it. They'd wish the ultimate terrible wish.
"I wish that everyone would go away forever and leave me alone!"

And everyone, including that person, would go away forever. No more people. No more existing. No more anything.

So, yeah. It would be a pretty bad thing. SOME wishes would be good, but the bad outweighs the good.

I think the way we live now is fine. If we all had endless amounts of wishes, we would have nothing to work for!

On a side note, I was talking to my friend today and asked her, if you had three wishes what would you wish for?

World Peace.
No World Hunger.
And three more wishes.

Theres always one, lol!

Well see, if someone wished for soemthing, another person could just unwish it, unless someone wished to be the last person on earth. itd be a never ending and always changing world of insane wishes.
