We are thinking of ordering 1 possibly 2 sofa beds for the lake and would love to know who manufactures the new (w/o bars) style sofa beds at DVC. I guess if we invite people to stay over and make them comfortable we may need the second one....that is a good thing, right?

you could come to NC where all furniture is made (in mexico and china) and visit all the manufactors show rooms. Since you are not from NC you can get a good deal.

Just call SSR and ask them where the sofabeds come from. They seem to have the newer ones in all of their units.

Please let us know when you find the answer.

The one we saw was a broyhill. However, none of the broyhill dealers around here have floor models so you'd have to try to order it sight unseen.

I passed because there are two types of mattresses and i don't want to get the wrong kind.

The Lazy Boy I looked at last week (and laid down on) didn't have a bar.

Thank you so much for this post.....I have been trying to convince my wife that the DVc pull-outs are the most comfortable i have ever slept on...During our last trip in february we had a one bedroom and the kids would fall asleep in the room while wife and I hung out and had a drink. Normally we would move the kids out to the pull-out....however during this trip I was perfectly happy to sleep on the pull out with my son, and sent the wife in the other room with the daughter.

SSR has the www.americanleather.com sofa's... you can buy the couch through Disney's source, but you cannot get it in the same material as found at SSR... So, your options are leather, suede or microfiber... I thought the pricing was quite reasonable...
