OKAY.......
I know that i have totally screwed up!

i could kick my self in the buttocks right now...........

But i guess there are MUCH worse things i could be mad about!

SO here is my delima............

First time to use points.....
We booked our cruise we wanted to do....
Then DS comes home from a school assembly about his NEW HIGH SCHOOL, he will be attending and is not wanting to miss school next year....
I understand.....

We try to start to rebook for soemthing else where the kids will notmiss school...

HAHAHAHA

There isnt much........

Unless we want to fly to LA
Or go like VERY SOON
OR go at christmas

Or do a 4 nighter suring summer

I dont want a 4 nighter i want a 7

We have to use our points or we are going toloose them by may 09

Do we fly to LA and spend that much $$$$ for a 7 nighter
Do we do the christmas cruise and not get to lay in the sun as it wont be soo warm out

ANY IDEA OR HELPFUL HINTS?????????????

Well your points are now reservation points, so you could use them to stay at WDW in a non DVC resort or at DLR or on DCL.

Yes, DCL will be in LA this summer. Did you try for Spring Break 09? DCL will be back in Port Canaveral in Sept 08.

I've heard nothing but great things about the Christmas cruises on DCL. They are usually the most expensive.

Or do a back to back 4 nighter on DCL this summer.

You'll still be lying in the sun on a Winter cruise. We went during Thanksgiving week on the 4 night cruise and it was hot and sunny the entire time. No hurricanes in site.

Or use your points at the YC, GF, Polynesian, Contemporary.

We went on the Christmas cruise in 05 and it was great!- It was warm enought to swim on the boat three days and at Castaway Key- other days too cool but nice enough to be on deck in shorts and people were swimming but my family swims when it is hot. The boat is beautiful and very festive during the holidays- I would do that- you probably will not do it again and the fact that you can get the reservation is something as we booked ours (cash) 18 months in advance! I think this is a great option.

Sorry, but don't depend on warm weather at Christmas. We took the NYE 7 nighter this past December and had miserable weather - even at Castaway Cay.

I am a high school chemistry teacher and I understand the importance of school attendance. But you need to be realistic, an average to above average student can miss an entire week of school and not fall behind. If you talk to the teacher I'm sure they can create an independant assignment that can be completed while on vacation. Sure it might be a little disapointing to do homework while on vacation but it is not the worst thing.
