We are staying Poly concierge in mid December. I have pillow gifts arranged for the kids. Does anyone know of any cool ideas for surprising a DH (something that concierge can provide)? Any other surprise ideas for the family in the way of events would be helpful also. I wanted to add a little extra Magic if possible. Thanks.:Pinkbounc :bounce:

You could take your kids to one of the childcare clubs and then surprise your husband with a dinner for two at Victoria and Albert's or California Grill. ;)

What is that? :listen:

Pillow gifts are little things you have left out at turndown service on the beds....

When you come back to the room there is a little surprise for your kids everynight. It's fun to do...my DD9 dragged me back to the room every night to see what would be there.

Too fun :hyper: Now that is magic! Do you have to be concierge to do this? :worried:

Upon check in at our recent stay at AKL I had a nice basket in the room for my DD and DH. DD had the usually books and treats. In my DH I had a shirt (the first thing he does on a trip is get himself a new WDW trip from the gift shop of the hotel we stay in) so I had one waiting for him, I also had the resort refillable mug, some snack treats he likes, of course a 12 pack of his favorite beer, a Mickey pal (he's a BIG kid), and a couple of reservation coupons for 3 of the rest. he really wanted to try.
I think it all depends on what your DH is like! Put I hope I gave you some good ideas! Have fun!

How did you get those in your room? Did you have someone make them and deliver them? I am staying at POR and they told me I would have to go through the disney florist. Any ideas?

I am planning themed gift baskets for my family and parents when we go on our trip next year, and we will be staying at the Poly. I found the greatest Hawaiian shirts on DisneyDeals.com by Reyn Spooner! Got one for each of my boys, my husband, my dad, plus a sundress for my daughter. I am planning on making up baskets with stuff from the Poly Resort and Hawaiian themed items and then sending them to the resort ahead of time. Depending on what your husband likes, there are a lot of different things you could add. I think it would be neat to surprise him with the basket with tickets to the Luau in it or something of that nature. There are so many neat things you could do!

Have the fishing trip booked for early one morning for hubby on the Bay Lake. It was the one thing my husband keeps taking about that he really enjoyed. Thought it was very relaxing.

I have to laugh, as I asked my spouse what he would have liked and he said: "Us guys are pretty simple. Have the kids go to a babysitter for a few hours and you put on a pretty nightgown. That's about all it takes for me anyways"(smile).

I loved all of the ideas, but after 28 plus years, I make sure I always pack a pretty nightgown. Mom always said that the kids grow up and leave (if you are good parents anyways)(smile) and husbands are for life.

:sunny: Milmore ... love your anniversary countdown! I got a laugh from that one and did the 10-key to figure out the years.:hyper: Maybe I will have to consider that one for my 15 or 20 yr anniversary .. 13.5 now.

Figaro, yes ::yes:: you are right on and thank you all for the wonderful ideas. We have been to WDW with our family, 2 years ago with no special ressies .. and this year we are doing a character breakfast & Rainforest Cafe .. my dd12 (her friiend who is 12 too), dd10 and dd7 will be loving it!
