Would like to get Disney name badge early-where??

Hi folks!! I'd like to get my boys (5 & 2yrs, and traveling with another boy who's 3) cute Disney themed name tags to where on their first trip to the world in late April. I think a personal hello from a CM would make their days!! Where can I get some for a good price?? I'm sure I can get them when we get there, but I'd really like to have them earlier. Any suggestions?? I think I remember reading about someone on the DIS that makes them?? I could have dreamt that though!

Got ours at laughingplace. I didn't think they were that expensive. Got them in a couple of days.

do they ingrave them for you if the spelling is different? My daughters name is Kiersten and the spelling we always see is spelled Kirsten..I thought i saw that it could be done the last time we were there..

The Christmas store at DTD sells them. You can call ahead and they will have them waiting at your resort for you.

PS: they aren't pre engraved so you will be able to get the custom spelling you need.

I also bought ours from laughplace.com. You spell the name when you order, so it's customized to whatever you need. They had lots of styles to choose from, and I agree, much easier to have them done before you go! We bought ours for our last Disneyland trip, but they have styles for both Disneyland AND Disney World.

I have to admit, one of my magical memories from our last trip is walking through the exit gates at park closing and hearing one of the CM's tell my son "Good Night Cole", saying it just like he was another employee leaving for the day

Am I really paranoid or what? My first thought with kids wearing things with their names on them is that a stranger will know their name! Of course then I thought for a moment and realized that if DD3 and DS 1.5 are somewhere at WDW without us we have BIG issues going on!

So the Cm's make a point of using kids names? Very sweet. Do many kids have nametags?

Oh, please. Do you really believe that kidnappings happen at random because some child has on a name tag? You may want to be able to back up your assertions before making such claims.

The greatest number of children who are kidnapped are taken by a family member. I'll bet you any amount of money they already know the kids' names.

I did this in October, just be prepared to keep calling - you have to get a live CM on the phone, and give them your CC#! They took the spellings over the phone, and charged me Park Price, no shipping and handling fees (the LaughingPlace is a good alternative, but you do pay them to shop for you)

I had them ship them to our resort (POR) and when we arrived I did have to go to the store - and they were there waiting for us!! It was a wonderful surprise for DD and my mom - I was shocked my mom and dad wore them every day!!

I do hesitate putting dd name on her clothes - but you're right, its Disney, and she's with us!! (or we'd have BIG issues too lol, she's 9, and I'm overprotective - trust me, or ask her )

Yes, the CM's did call her by name, and my mom too - they celebrated their bdays, and had bday pins, and dd wore her crown, so it often was "Happy bday Princess Meagan" she LOVED it, mom did say by the end of the week it was exhausting, so many people were so nice to her!! lol

and every now and again, someone would ask me where something was, lol (at the parks you can buy the name badges in MK, and MGM for sure, - at the stores that do the engraving there - - people will want to know!!)

If you are planning on calling the store directly to order, I'd wait until it gets closer unless you plan on having them shipped to your home. If you want Disney to deliver them to your resort, this would be to early to order.

If you would like me to do it for you, just PM me with the names you want on the badges and which style badges you'd like. I would also need the name of your resort, the date you will be checking in and the name your reservation will be under. I would deliver them to the resort on your checkin date.

Hi! I'm the OP............I didn't realize I could order from the DTD store. Unfortunately we're staying off-site this trip, so I can't get them delivered to our resort. Can the store at DTD ship them to my house? I looked at laughingplace.com and thought their selection was a little slim......

By the time we leave somewhere everyone knows my girls names...."don't touch Sierra, stop whining, Savannah, Sit down Sierra" and so on and so forth!!
