would like help selecting hotel in Orlando

I've been reading this thread for a while now hoping to get some ideas for us. We're cruising on the Magic in October. We'll get off the ship on a Saturday and will need a room for 1 night as our flight is not until Sunday. We're actually looking somewhere where we can just hangout by the pool with a nice atmosphere. We're actually meeting and cruising with friends from England who we only get to see once a year. they are actually staying the next week in Florida and want to stay where we will be if only for a short time(they have 2 nights before they check into their Universal Resort). Does anyone have suggestions for us? We need 1 night for 2 adults, 1 child...our friends need 2 nights, 2 adults 1 child...Thanks guys!!
