I don't think it's weird at all, just not something I would be able to do. Believe it or not, I am horribly shy and I would feel so self conscious sitting there by myselfI'm getting an anxiety attack just thinking about it
It's on the list of fears I have that I need to overcome
Please go...do it for me and all the other social wallflowers

Me too! I've never been confident enough to go to the movies or out by myself. It took me years before I would eat lunch or dinner by myself in a restaurant, but I'll only do that in my college town where it's very common. In the town where I live? No way -- people just don't do that. I don't know why.

Op, how did it go?

) put that on the back burner for several years. I say go for it! Have a great time but use good sense. I wouldn't count on the bartender to take care of you, but staying near the bar is a good idea. Definitely ask for an escort to your car if you feel at all unsafe and even on the way home, be alert. I was followed home from a solo trip to the movies once when two guys realized I was alone.
