Would it be too early to put up my tree?

I bought an artificial Christmas tree yesterday (I've wanted one for years), and I'm so excited to see what it looks like out of the box. Would I be jumping the gun if I actually put it up today? I'm usually mid-December tree person.

Grinning ghost, I have to say that I enjoy your posts! I say Go For It. I swore that when I got my tree picked up I would immediately put it up! I don't care about the date! I just haven't been able to get out and get it, due to a bug passing from one to the next in my home! Have a great time and a wonderful holiday!

Since we are leaving for Disney on the 12th we put ours up a week ago....its a small tree instead of our usual HUGE tree but it works to put you in the Christmas Spirit.

I have seen lots of trees up in windows already, so I guess it would not be too early.
If you want to do it, I say go for it. Your house, your tree, your choice.

Go for it gg! We put ours up last night! (Dh and I are both grad students, so we have to get ours put up before finals, or otherwise its like Dedc 20 before we have time).

It is 70 degrees here today, and the house smells like cinnamon and Christmas- weird for us Midwesterners!

Our family adores Christmas and my hubby particularly hates Hallowe'en. On November 1, he pulled out the tree and all the decorations for the house. I couldn't believe it. He put it up on November 2 with all the lights on it and we decorated it last weekend along with the rest of the house. He is outside right now putting the lights up on the outside of the house. As I said he just adores everything about Christmas! So I say as most others have, just go for it! That is the beauty of an artificial tree, you can put it up whenever you have time or the desire to do so! Have fun!!

I thought about doing ours today but for me it seems a little early. We usually do it the weekend after Thanksgiving but since Thanksgiving is sort of late this year I'm anxious to do it! So instead I'm just doing a real thorough cleaning and sprucing things up to get things ready!

We went to Michael's today and it got me in such a Christmas mood!!

Like Lezah's DH, I cannot STAND Halloween and really could live without Thanksgiving. But I LOVE Christmas!!!

Glad I am in good company! We put up our tree today while we were watching the MSU/Penn State game (GO GREEN!!!) and the Michigan/OSU game! WTG BLUE!!!

Thanksgiving is late this year, we have company coming for Thanksgiving that won't be here for Christmas, and we wanted to take pictures with them in front of our tree...all reasons why we put it up this weekend. OH and I have a trip to WDW between now and Christmas, too!


DH is putting the Wilderness Lodge together right now...and then he tackles the monorail, Haunted Mansion, GF, EPCOT and Dumbo exhibit under the tree!!!!

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas! Except for the warm weather here in the midwest!

Oh and did I mention we got our tickets for The Lion King today (Christmas gifts for friends and family.....for the April performance!)

We are in the middle of putting our tree up RIGHT NOW!!!

I say go for it. We usually do it the Saturday after Thanksgiving, but we will be gone all day to a Monster Truck show
Then the following weekend DS will be in a Christmas program so we will be busy that weekend too.
The weekened after that we will be in WDW so we decided to put the tree up today

Mine goes up tomorrow afternoon. I am out of town every week between Thanksgiving and Christmas and want to enjoy it a little! Last year at this time I was living in the Homestead Suites so I am just glad to have a place to decorate!

I spend so much time decorating it ... lights one night, some ornaments the next, have my sister :happy1: & family over for hot chocolate for another round of decorating.

For the time it takes me to decorate I want to enjoy my hard work.

My son is decorating our family tree right now. My daughter is putting the finishing touches on her Disney Princess tree. They do a better job than I do.

My husband just shook his head when I told him I had already put the tree up.

We leave in 13 days for WDW.
