It's not as if there is a charge for tap water. There are many restaurants in Disney that don't offer bottled water. If the restaurant DOES offer bottled then don't use your own. If they ONLY have tap, then drink your own water. If a restaurant only offers free nasty tap water then they are not loosing out on revenue by you bringing in your own.
Frankly, if anyone thinks that the water in Disney tastes bad, they have no idea what bad water tastes like. I have relatives living in the countryside with a lot of iron and other minerals in the well water. Now that is nasty!
Would you do this at home? Why behave differently while dining at Disney?
Actually, we do it at my mom's all the time. She lives in NJ (and I'm sure the NJ-ians out there will back me up) and their tap water is horrible. We always bring bottled water (if she doesn't already have it).
Like one poster said, as long as they don't offer bottled water on the menu (and I don't remember seeing that on any of the menus) then I don't think it's a big deal.
I just like *my* water better.Since there is no charge on ice water anyway, would it be tacky to just ask for a glass and fill it from our own water bottles?
My question is do you take your own food or water into restaurants at home? Do you carry you own into Red Lobster? Your local Steakhouse? The 4 star hotel restaurant for a special occassion meal? Why on earth would you do that at Disney. Drink "your water" before you head into the restaurant and all you want when you leave. Its inappropiate and all of the Disney places can get you bottled water, tap water or other beverage with your meal.
Well, no. A BYOB restaurant likely doesn't provide wine (otherwise, why would the policy be BYOB?). It's a licensing or economic issue.By your logic, if I was at a BYOB restaurant at home (Disney doesn't have any BYOB restaurants at least as far as I know) it would be rude to bring a bottle of wine.
