Would it be a bad idea to take a mini ipad to the parks ?

The mini is doable to take to the parks. I have mine in a protective case that has a built in screen protector( my niece uses it a lot).

I'm not one to hold it up and take pictures constantly. I find that annoying when others do it so I try not to do it either. Just trying to be considerate of fellow travelers.:goodvibes

You know, people hate, hate, hated DSLRs when they first came out because they had those 'large' bright screens on them. Lots of comments that people should use the view finder instead of screen and it was rude not too. In other words, same comments for what what was a new technology at the time. But we sell got use to them and now don't notice them at all.

Not really getting on you gorkt, it's just interesting when new tech comes along how distracting it initially is. But eventually, tablets will be ignored just like DSLRs once they become just common things we don't pay attention to.

Not the same at all! :confused3 Not the technology that bothers people, but the sheer size of holding that up in people's faces and blocking everything! :furious:

Yeah it's the size that bothers most people. That's why I don't consider it comparable to when people were annoyed with DSLRs (which I never was). There's just such a size difference between a camera or a phone and a tablet.

:thumbsup2 You're so correct!

I have a 5th gen itouch and love it. The only thing it doesn't do is connect to the internet without wifi. I will be bringing that with us to WDW. We also have a Kindle Fire that we have brought to DLR many times. We keep it in a case in a ziplock bag in the backpack. We will probably bring it some days to the park depending how well we do or don't do with the itouch. For what I heard, it sounds better to go to MDE online rather than through the app. And the Kindle is easier for that. So we'll see. I bring a small camera with me for "real" photos. And I use the itouch for quick photos that I want to instantly post to FB or send to friends.
