Would I be nuts to skip Epcot?

When my kids were younger I too was told to skip Epcot. I'm sorry we listened. The kids love it there. Don't forget to get a passport book where in each country they stamp it and write hello in their language. (They can also make free masks.) We usually eat around the worlds. We get something to eat in each country. Shaved ice in japan, pastry in France, beavertails in Canada. It's mostly desserts but hey we are on vacation. Don't forget to catch the shows while enjoying your yummy food. You also can do the ice cream social in The garden grill for $6.99 per person it is the cheapest character interaction around. Please don't give up on Epcot because of what other people say. Go and use your own judgement I wish we had. Gina

I agree with Gina. When my brother and I were younger, this activity really made Epcot special. It gave us something to do and let our parents enjoy World Showcase.

I agree with everyone else - it depends on the kids. But I don't see the harm in trying it for at least 1/2 a day. If they don't like it, head to one of the other parks!

Wow, thanks! We will definetely try it! I've never been and neither has DH, so I was basing solely off a book i'm reading. I'm so glad I asked!

Steph, not sure what book you are reading, but I highly recommend Kim Wright Wiley's WDW With Kids. You can probably find it at your local library if you don't want to purchase. It is very easy reading and offers great suggestions by age/scare factor, height, etc. It was invaluable when my kids were smaller (now they are too opinionated and don't care what is 'appropriate'!)

Our kids are 6 (girl) and 4 (boy). Last year they enjoyed Futureworl but not WS so much. We also made a big mistake by doing Universe of Energy with them. It was just long and boring to them . Anyway, we'll probably just do FW with them next time. DW and I will tour WS one night while kids are in one of the kids' clubs

My DS has always loved Epcot. It did take until he was about 11 to really enjoy WS, but now it's a favorite too. There is so much to do at Epcot for all ages and I can't image a child not loving at least parts of it. It's a park that we often spend evenings after dinner at. Even if your kids are not crazy about Epcot, you deserve a little parent time too. Does not hurt for the kids to do what mom and dad want to do too.

Hello, my 2 dd's(3&8) love epcot...they have certain stations through world showcase that the kids can make a mask and at each station in the different "worlds" they get to add something new. They really looked forward to finding the stations as some of them are slightly hidden. The tapestry of nations parade is incredible, and illuminations is great!!!!!! I would not recommend missing this park!!!!

It is our favorite park (we're 36) and our 2yo dd loves it, because it's WDW! Would Disney ever make a park that kids wouldn't enjoy? NO WAY! Go and have a blast!
