Would/Have you gone alone w/out DH/DW?

DS and I go every February without DH. He comes with us in April and August, but doesn't want to use up his vacation time in February too.

ds now 14 and I have been at least twice a year without dh for the past 10 years. dh went twice when ds was a toddler - once ds was potty trained and out of the stroller that was it for dh - he hates parades, hates rides, hates crowds and hates characters :confused3 He gladly stays home and keeps our 3 doggies, watches non stop ESPN and has 3 remotes all to himself - he is happy and we are happy :thumbsup2 ds14 assures me he will never be too old to go with me but I know that will someday change and when it does I will rent-a-kid or go alone :rotfl:

I've been on business about 4 times over the years. Sometimes I was alone, other time with coworkers. If you can't get your DH to go, or if he is going to go and impede your fun, go without him.:earsboy:

:sunny: I went last year for 2 weeks with just my DD19 and DD9 and we had the best time of our life without DH. There was no face rolleyes walking behind us telling us we don't need this or that, he doesn't feel like going to the park, he's hot, etc.(you get what I mean?) Not Disneyfied like us. Besides, I didn't have to pay a kennel to watch the dog ;) . We are going to be doing the same thing this year in June/July with just the 3 of us and we can't wait.

Yes, I have gone without DH. I am the Disney nut in the familty, so if I want to go more often, I go by myself. I greatly prefer having him with me, but I also enjoy the solo trips.

I went this past summer without DH. He is definitely not a WDW fan (too much walking, too much sun, blah blah blah). I took my Mom, my neice and nephew. We had a ball. This December DH came down for 3 days and then flew back home while my girls and I stayed another 4 days. I was a little nervous, but we had a great trip.

This summer DH is staying at home once again. I will bring my Mom, neice and nephew again. We also have a trip planned for next December. Since we are staying Poly LGVC, he wants to go. He loved the Poly. His favorite part of the trip was sitting in the Concierge lounge having a drink and watching the game  .

Go and have a great trip!

Thank you all for your responses. If and when my children no longer want to go I will probably go alone or get some friends to go or rent a spouse. :lmao:

...alone in WDW. Extended a business trip two days to go, leaving DW and DDs 8&6 behind. Was able to do things could not do wth them (Segway tour) or that they had no interest in (scouting out/staying at FW Campground). Could move incredibly fast, travel incredibly cheaply, and do the incredibly addictive things I do that drive them NUTS (like manic pin trading...)
